Slight Increase in Droprate

First thing I would like to say is a big thank you to the GM's that have been putting the work in to keep this game alive and for all updates.

Now most of us in game and on discord have been noticing/mentioning that the economy/tradingmarket in Soma is going downwards lately and especially after the easter events have ended, wich is okay and expected but to what extent?

I don't want to complain or suggest insanely high droprates wich would make the game too easy but I do would like to come forward with an idea to re-motivate everyone to play more and boost economy/activity in game.

A slight increase between x1 - x1.5 would help really out, as it wil increase the economy/tradingmarket and the activity. The players will also get more satisfaction out of the time they put in when farming/hunting.

My proposal:
-Increased droprates at a regular basis at specific times (specific hours in a day, every other weekend or every or first weekend of the month?)?

or

-Permanently?

I just wanted to share this thought, because it's not just me that would appreciate this I think the whole Soma community will appreciate a increase in droprate even if it's not permanently if it were to be at a specific time at a regular basis that would be very nice too.

1.25 - 1.5 would be a handy rate. Altho mage mob drops like valks and wasps are shocking lol

I'm going to - 1 this for a reason.
Firstly, I do believe for the good of everyone on the server, casual or hardcore, more drops is better.
But...
I believe it should come in a different form, like some of the ideas on the forum, each of which offers variable drop and exp rates.

Teirs of rested offering higher drop/xp for higher amounts, allowing those who have little time to play/farm to have a chance at gaining better stuff and make progress.

More rewards for winning GVW / WotW, like... Better xp/drops.

Moral overhaul, like offering higher drop/xp rates for higher moral chars.

I believe any one or a combination of these things could bring allot more players into attending gvw/wow/pk, and improve the overall UC.

Not with the current dynamics of gvw getting gifted and guild hopping.

I +1 on the dynamics as a whole, devs have too much dex for us to hit them and mages do 1 bangs :|

Might be wrong but I don't think it's possible for mobs to drop differently for different players

drop rates (for some items) are a bit too low to keep it fun in the long run...

fe. 1 hard nega wep on 4k elder mags? thats insane :/!! (which breaks 80% going +5)

+1.25-1.5 permanent would be great!

a few more weps at elders... give them small rubies too and make trolls drop mediums.. otherwise drops are fine

Not sure why you're trying to scrape the barrel with 1.25-1.5x drop rate increases. We have CTF for 1.1x drop rate bonuses but they're still rubbish.

If anything you lot should be requesting the top end mob drop files to be sorted. It's so silly to have 7.5k troll quests when a mob you hunt when you're level 100 drops far better. It's a lot more silly when half the time I do elders they drop smalls (frogs/herbs/LL) which I would have a hell of a lot easier time getting if I wanted them by hunting normal mags...

Then we should be looking for permanent drop rate increases 2x and above (soz about the tone btw)...

This is a big issue and is causing a lot of players to leave the game and until drops are addressed as a whole. For once, I agree with you. I don't agree with a blanket 2x drop rate but I think a lot of mobs really need their drop files looking at. I've only really done melee so can't comment on anything other than NM's.

Shanis really needs their drop file updating, Isylver agree'd it needed doing but it is awful at the moment. Nothing needs adding, nothing needs increasing. Just remove the trash. Anyone hunting shanis doesn't need blood armour, staff of sky, dark shields or MP pots. Every single player who has ever hunted there has said they hate it because of the drops. It puts people off hunting them

BLG are fine

Boars could use a slight increase in tagged drops, but nothing major

Hellish trolls drops really need increasing, we killed 11k and got 2 rare pieces of armour and a handlful of small rubies, but go to BLG for half the time and you've got upwards of 5 large rubies + EP + DT's.

If anyone could offer some insight into other mobs, we could get some insight into what the current game state is, mob per mob, rather than just "increase drop rate by a flat 1.5x/2x"

I know nothing of the back end of mob files / drops.

But my suggestion would be GM’s get them on a spreadsheet And let a group Of 5-6 of us sensible folk give it a tweak for you. Remove rubbish change % slightly And over all try and help you out.

Needed for dsoma as well by the sounds.
