New 5th Bow??

Unfortunately all this would mean for most it bow 5th = guaranteed stone from support char = dead

In the games current format and strength mage set up there is no deterrent for any mage to atk a bow user as they have enough str to take the hits untill they get there stone of. Yes you can feather and yes you can TP but that wouldn't be much fun would it.

I am sure every melee has been 1 banged by a mage whilst being stoned as the mage only has to get lucky once with proc Vs an archer who would need to hit you several times to do the same damage.

By slowing you down for 2-3 seconds whilst still being able to pot,tp,feather or change gear etc i think is a fair trade of from being stoned and not being able to do anything apart from pot.

This idea was never going to be well received by mages however as it stands just now something has to be changed.

When you put that explanation sounds a lot more reasonable,
Imo there does need to be something that isn't removed by serum that can stop 5th axe for x amount of time

5th axe could be changed to the CTF aura. so although you cant move u cant be damaged. basically out of the game for a set amount of time. rather than the current style of insta death when stoned. it would also make people change to diffirent weapons. 1 person stones and then that would allow other non ranged to try and surround the person to kill them when stone runs out

Not a bad idea mate ,would certainly makes things a little different and a little more balanced.

That might throw up a lot of issues with gvw etc

One counter to stone being op is just fixing/buffing reflect + protection. Make support chars more useful than just weaken/zombie spammers. Both remove pd so would only be used to save ppl in pvp when stoned really

How does one cast reflect or protection when stoned?

I guessing others cast it on them rather than themselves

But yes if it made you invuln you would just get your own guild to permanently 5th you while stood on gv stone

you could change the timer on it while on a stone like other timers to make it fall in line.

p.s. you cant cast reflect on someone else

Yeah you can just need to be in the same party, used to use it quite a lot but it's bugged and needs to work for longer

I mean in a mass pvp situation I don’t think casting reflect or protection in its current format is going to make any difference let alone achievable.

Being immune to all damage would need to be deactivated whilst tanking a stone etc but in terms of open world pvp I could see it working.

However still think 5th arrow needs the rework and slowing a attacking player is good defensively and offensively.

being a slow down (like ctf aura) could work if it was along side the 5th change(also like ctf aura). would give a while new dynamic to pvp i recon

Yea +1 to both but there would need to be a counter above head when wearing off or a further delay to feathers because that would be insta escape if not
