GVW name display change

It needs a design mix up.

Add another gate into the village itself and add another way into the big room or just redesign the whole village.

Remove the guild village giggle war.

The problem with the change is, it just makes the alliances of either side a hassle to know who's who, because the alliances are still working together, not saying it's a bad thing, it just seems like it isn't working as intended and I don't think it ever will, if every guild was "Each guild for itself" it would work 100%, but people shouldn't be expected to throw alliances away after years of friendships etc, as a guy on his own not knowing who anybody was I had great fun attacking whatever group of people were defending the stone, I don't even know what guilds attended apart from the odd giggle.

Gvw on hsoma attendance is low cause vk/val are enjoying something called the outside world with the nice weather. Most of us have children I rather spend time with my son or since I work nights go to sleep as gvw is at 3 pm my time then fight ppl that dont even play the game except when dl msg them to log on to characters that arent even theres for gvw or pk

Or because lock down is coming to an end are people are back at work? Seems to be the case on our end.

Both sides have their select few players who play through the day, every day but majority of DL alliance don't get on till the evening. I'm working from home and will be till I imagine the end of the year so plenty of time to play, however don't have the motivation to run around for hours on end to PK for 2 minutes.

Back on subject +1 Blight.

I think the guild alliance feature needs to be fixed allowing these allied guilds to see each other's name. Allows neutrals to keep their anonymity while also assisting with coordination within these allied groups.

I reckon now finito has sorted out nametags stuff it would be relatively easy for him to allow the leader of a guild to /ally another guild after gvw starts and then the other leader accepts it, sort of like how /war works when it brings up all your names

only issue i see would be it might just mean the occasional neutral who turns up just getting grieffed by the huge alliances and kind of being back to square one. one option might be to allow these gvw alliances but the defending guild can't use the function. that way it's a slight nerf for the defenders but a bit less confusing for everyone else and obvs keeps the anonymity thing, and make it easier our case for faint and kingslanding to smash us when its a dead war

but yeh in general the % system without incentives to retain the gv seems to be the main issue, also adding extra stones to hold and gates etc , or adding rewards for attending gvw in the first place would obvs make it more interesting

Why not just always enjoy a good natured free for all
That way you only need to see your own guild

Doubt he’d make /ally when the main purpose of the update was to promote FFA

tbf each war since the update its been getting more and more FFA on hsoma side, obviously friendly, just the current system kinda encourages you to prefer to lose it rather than try and retain

Don't think you'll ever see a proper FFA, we all love a big GVW but ultimately one alliance doesn't want a guild from the other alliance having access to trace and vice versa.

Only reason it's turned into FFA recently is because the Koreanz alliance isn't active enough to compete for GVW atm. Should they turn up the FFA would be out the window.

Try GV in different time zones on a weekly basis?

This way gives players in different time zone an option to attend and may see more players take part and get the busy GV that all want.
(Obviously UK players can make the change to log in if they really want to just like how our international players try and attend for the past few years in our time zone)

I don't think this would be beneficial, majority of players are living in the UK and GVW is currently at the best possible time for them. Koreans will turn up to GVW regardless of the time if they know they'll have a big turnout from the rest of their alliance and Chinese players have done the same when they were more active.

Changing GVW one week to say 9pm Korea time you're looking at 11am our time, literally no one would turn up.

GVW timing isn't the issue, if people want to win they need to turn up, we've seen some massive turnouts a couple of months back maybe close to 100 people. Koreanz alliance are more than capable of winning GVW if they attend.

I hate gvw now I literally have no reason other than rested to attend because I'm always the only player from my guild at least before I could enjoy it because I was on a "side".
