possibly have a 2 x drop.. or..2x crafting rates every few weekends.. alternating like..adding a little spice .. so to speak

No. It can be manipulated by VPN/multiple accounts. What does x2 bring to the table? It allows you to cap quicker. What is there to do at the new level cap, that you can't already do at this level cap? Nothing.

Unpopular opinion: Get rid of x2 events and replace them with actual events that have been thought out. x2 can come across as a very lazy cop out of an "event". All you do by putting x2 is diluting the current content and make it so there needs to be more content, quicker. Leading to a never ending circle.

Whilst the latter is true it also enables those without much time spare to enjoy a game that they otherwise wouldn't, because lets be honest there is no joy in seeing your 1 spare hour a day gain you 0.4 int or whatever. Maybe a mid tier mags to provide something different to lower levels rather than just levelling

Or even x2 up to level 100/110 then back down to x1 get more people involved in end game stuff, even encouraging alt's it is still more people levelling on mobs like nm which is great for game economy of frogs

-1 this shouldn't turn into a rhyse server, already been bugs because the rates were too fast.

Personally i think leveling is fast enough, its the drops that fall short, the servers 7 years in? surely it shouldnt take many many years to be able to make sutff although the +2 no fail was a fantastic add in i must say it didnt help in me being able to get much past +5 it takes many months of farming for it all to break in an instant and that just kills anyones motivation.

You can still enjoy the game getting 0.4 or 4.0 INT/STR a day. We aren't talking Esoma rates here but I don't understand how the amount of stats you gain a day transfers into enjoyability? For the longevity of the game it would be much better to a years worth of content than just sprinting through it all in 12 weeks. Most people who play this game knows the content is in the levelling side of the game. Soma wasn't designed to have everyone at cap and it's painfully obvious with the amount of people who cap and stop playing because there is nothing to do.

x2 events shouldn't be a thing. You can always have the levelling speed increased till level 100 (hypothetical example) to allow others to catch up to a relevant-ish level. Even still; the main part of the enjoyment in Soma is when people are levelling. More PK. More bosses. More everything. If you make it easier to hit the level cap you will have the exact same problem the game is experiencing now. Lack of end game content with lack of players to play that content.

I do completely understand that and agree with you, having done it numerous times in both worlds, i was just relaying stuff ive heard said time and again

I would love to see more content, for me what kracken has put is more or less where im at, even in x2 drops mags were only borderline worth farming, yes you get an abundance of the less needed stuff but next to no returns on the end game weps, its the reason why 99% on hsoma are playing with rare weps rather than intense, even thiugh combine exists. the return for time invested trying to gear up is way off. But that probably comes from rates increase whilst drop rates stayed the same.
Short of introducing sd's in hsoma equivalent to old df/palus rate and small/med rubies equivalent to blg rate for dsoma to the new mobs and mags

@taller... yes 2x xp is proly not a good idea for later levels as you say..
however.. not all players have access to a dozen characters for sr's ... or a guild to help them with drops or upgraded stuff...
So.......
x2 crafting weekends.. or x2 drops is a good idea to keep players busy .. interested and have some incentive to further their levelling and advancement....

fact..imo..

posting off a main would be helpful also..
always good to see who's putting a dampener on things and recommending nothing for lower level or solo players.
real 'events' as u call them are monopolised by the bigger guilds..
so a few meagre 2x drop/craft weekends will help everyone.. not just the few

they could also just limit the 2x and rested usage etc to below lvl 125?

If someone doesn't have SR, they can get it themselves? Or they can buy/ask for SR from other people, like what everyone has done in the history of Soma who doesn't have SR? Why should things be made easier for people to obtain? Things are already easy enough with increased rates and everything else.

Soma is a longevity game. Making it easier for people to obtain goals diminishes the gameplay massively, meaning people get bored and quit sooner rather than later. Look at the user count from the last event when the cap was raised in lock down 1. Now compare the user count. X2 events are a poor attempt at plastering over a gaping wound,

There are ways to do events without the "big" guilds monopolising them. There have been dozens of idea'ssuggested and ways to improve the game without having to do events. Me posting off a main has nothing to do with the price of cheese Lupi, everything i've posted so far is fact.
