Thats 1-2 more than if you reverse a change that hinders big alliances.....
Its not the most popular change, I agree with that. But rational thinking suggests if the change gets reversed, you are getting less gvw's. |

"OPENTHEDOOR"Thats 1-2 more than if you reverse a change that hinders big alliances..... Its actually zero for me, as I refuse to go due to the event being empty and completely impersonal - may as well be playing vs AI, in fact at least with AI you wouldn't end up hitting your own team. Video's are pointless to make as you dont have a clue who was even there fighting anyway. It's the worst change since the dsoma stat allocation change (and that is the worst change in soma history). The change also wasn't made to hinder alliances, it was made to pander to like 3 neutral snowflake's, scared of a little PVP in an open world PVP game - who never come anyway!!! (All respect to the real PVE players who couldn't care less if PVP players kill them, which for the most part I dont condone) I've spoken to multiple people from your alliance and they say a large part of the reason they don't attend is this BS name change - some even said they're also boycotting until the change is reverted, like myself. On a genuine level what does this change actually offer that is positive? Talking about the change is the only thing keeping GVW alive - no, that's the rivalry, absolutely zero to do with name change being in. 90% of people who have spoke on this have been asking for this careless change to be reverted for months!

What will reverting back bring? See positives and negatives to both sides of the argument. So be good to frame it.
Maybe we need to change the reward for wining GVW at the minute it’s trace for 9 people and bragging rights, that helps in pvp/pk/laziness to run to a boss spawn but if your not on the board you don’t benefit. Don’t have the answer but maybe some suggestions of improved winnings i.e. free pot man in hall for owners, free rested pots, free sr, +3 anvil without fail... etc... If cool downs for rejoining guilds are in then this would stop majority of abuse. That would bring more attendance in my opinion and then a decision can be done about names.

Reveting will bring back, as I have stated countless times:
Better ability to make tactical plays i.e. marking certain targets, prioritising targets in a certain order, being able to identify your team mates and not hit them instead of enemies. Better video's, therefore better promotion of the game - let's face it pretty much the only advertising Soma is going to get is video's of events. It is much more fun to see who was at the GVW fighting you than to feel like you're basically fighting a bot, and a lot more fun to look back on too. Better attendance (I think), based off speaking to people on all sides, the majority would prefer it to be reverted, therefore I'm going to guess that if it was they'd be more likely to attend future events. I could reel off positive points of reverting it all day, and negative one's of keeping it in the sh** state it is. Also just either delete the % system or fix/refurbish the alliance system.

"AXOM"What will reverting back bring? See positives and negatives to both sides of the argument. So be good to frame it. Decrease maximum number of people allowed in a guild. If GV is defended give everyone in the guild trace, not just the board. Give crafting stations in GV a higher % success to craft and/or upgrade. Increase cool downs for rejoining guilds to stop guild swapping.

Revert it back for 1-2 months see what it looks like, and then let’s have a meaningful discussions of pros/cons of it all - i.e. if it’s only alliance guides that hold the gvw with decent turnouts it’s obvious gifting is still occurring and should happen. But if it brings multiple guilds that can alliance for a gvw but not suffer for it outside of gvw then again it’s a positive. If it also brings in more user content and videos for adverts again positive.
Rewards for winning gvw need to be increased that would bring more people over and above changing names in my opinion. Maybe winners get a boss spawn of their choice in the hut etc... again throwing ideas but at least make it something worth winning.

Change it back and never discuss reverting to the current sh** show that is GVW.
There are other solution's that don't make the whole event feel worthless and boring, alongside many other unwanted side effects. If 'gifting' is an issue, as I said, delete the % system or fix the alliance system - both MUCH better solution's. +10000000 Typhin.

Don’t see why it’s such a pressing issue, you have 2 full guilds who would rather stand around doing nothing for an hour just incase one fairly inactive guild turns up once every 2 months. Showing names doesn’t change the ability to stand around talking so should be fine as it is. The % system May aswell be removed with guild hopping being so easy to do aswell.

In simply terms. There are two mechanics that reduce the effective of big numbers/alliance at a gvw. % debuff and no names.
The first one % debuff can just be gotten around either by gifting or by swapping players between guilds. The second one while not being an ideal solution, does mean that if you bring more than 25 or so people in an alliance you are at an immediate disadvantage to smaller guild. (Clever party creation and discord calling can minimize this impact). Can you please explain to me how removing the only current nerf to a big alliance that exists, is going to create more gvw’s and give you more content? As far as I see it, having no names is the lesser of two evils. Wars with no names, or no wars with names.
