Malicious PK, drive away a lot of players.

Some individual players would like to play on this server.

But he was chased by other gangs,Even new players will not be let go.

Players in the guild have conflicts with other guilds.

Other guilds are going to kill all of their players.

Even if the player leaves the original Guild or the original Guild dissolves,The players are still being chased.

This leads to a lot of players leaving the game.

Is this hsoma or dsoma issue?
...alot of players getting driven away by one malicious player? who is this mafia? and/or who are these players quitting?

Said it before, will say it again, this forum does not represent a whole soma community, especially those like that have been mentioned by the first poster. A simple PK On/Off switch with some sort of cool down or the moral idea (which is still a problem but gives players like us an aim) is much better than immunity potions.

Implement it, give it a week, those who "quit" or make threats the server is ruined etc, will come back in a week or two, while a whole new community will grow and enjoy.

Really hope the GM gives this better attention.

Two death immunity, immunity potions, no loss of items on death. Apart from a hurt ego and rude words from our enemies there isn't any reason for leaving because of PK. Toughen up a bit people, its just a game with no consequences when you die..

AEOPTO_110. Look down the list of threads just a few places and arrive at the one:-
"PK - an obvious solution." I started the thread, so you'll see my name on it. It got a lot of very helpful responses
I think you'll find it interesting, and you'll find you are not the only one influenced by malicious PKing.

You either don't get it, or you're purposely ignoring it.

You need to be subject to 2 kills systematically by the hour (30 mins before) plus the PM's etc, and then try and respond back, making sure you have little to no help - try that for around a month - record it all as proof, and then come back and speak so positively about it, and how you are motivated to log in each day/night and play to be subject to the same thing.

Also if you have any elders (60+), get them to play and repeat the above, it's being raised more often now despite the solutions, why? That attitude is not the spirit of the Soma community, yet with a simple solution the PvP'ers can still exist.

I've been on the receiving end and while it's not nice, Soma is an open world PVP game and you have to accept that you maybe PK'd. Other than barr there is no downside to being PK'd anymore. If you see any lower levels around talk to them, give them some bar and some weapons/armour you have lying around.

I agree it's not nice, I also get pk'd a lot being a solo player. You can block Private messages with an in-game command. Homophobic/racist or sick insults can be reported. Try to remember nothing bad can come from PK, its just another part of the game.
If your older family/friend is finding it hard, perhaps they can be a crafter in town?

I can 100% appreciate your attempts but you're trying to fix something that isn't broken. Lets look at what can actually happen when you get PK'd

Die twice, use resi's and get immunity
Die twice, take penalty and go back to hunting
Hit TP and go to another hunting ground

The PK level range helps the majority of the lower levels in the game staying away from all the big bad PK'ers
Bar can be an issue at lower levels but they don't need to use a resi scroll.

So many people are trying to make the game even more dumbed down and noob friendly but the changes will damage the game more than anything. Look at the current state of PvP because of the changes which have already been introduced to help people; one example is people killing their own characters because they don't want to die to someone? Crazy.

Moral is the key to fixing the issue.

People that actively PK shouldn't have access to immunity/immunity potions.

Virtuous moral + and you can use an immunity pot that lasts a week. Costs 5 dailies to buy. Removes PK mode. The game needs PVE players and if they want to chill + hunt then I'm fine with that.

Someone actively going around the map PKING and then popping an immunity pot when they feel like it or getting their mate to kill them is the only issue I can see.

Also remove immunity or "taking the 2"

TL DR : Immunity for PVE, No immunity at all for PVP

This is a really good idea.

Fix moral so it actually punishes players who PK regularly, make moral take a long time to get.
Remove holy waters.
Make immunity pots have a much longer duration (like a week) so it can't be toggled and can only be used if you are angel.


Seems like the most balanced idea so far

Think before anything radical like pvp maps or perm immunity

/pos needs to just display your pos weather your online or not
/lastonline needs to be own guild members only

Both commands are to easy to abuse with a macro command instantly /pos 30+ ppl to see whos online

That should put a stop to ppl instantly stalking you wilst your online, should be able to go to a less hunted spot to try hide away

This is probably the best thing suggested so far. Although that doesn't stop anyone from doing "@kazoku ." to see if you're online :(
