without having slow rates the gms cannot keep up with the content for the playerbase. if the rates are not slow enough this problem will keep happening where there is nothing for people to do. make it 1% per hour and make people earn there stats. 1% an hour is 500 hours to hit new cap over 20 days of solid in game time to hit the new cap! anyone saying they would not login for 1% an hour cap raise and want say 4% an hour, do they even login now as it is? if not, why do they not login? what would they be happy with if it was not 1% an hour? remember there is only finito who is developing this game, not a team of people. what ideas do people have to give more content if the rates are quicker to compensate the players who do not want to grind?

just make new level cap 140? or 150? and make it slow

if its just 5 levels someone will cap in 3 days

seems there's 2 options
1. as it has been for a long time now.. add 5 levs of levelling qwik.. getting few drops...capping .. needing gear.. doing a few 100 hours getting some drops, blowing it all up at the anvil.. getting pissed off and leaving..
unless ur one of the lucky few to have maxed gear..

2. adding slow levels.. the more the better..then even if u blow things up .. u can log on for a few hours and actually see some gains via stats.. doesn't matter if its slow.. u gain something, more drops and maybe 1 day the stuff won't blow up at the anvil.

as said on many threads over the last months and years.. its rewards for time investment.. blowing stuff at the anvil doesn't hurt as much if uv done 3-4-5-6 hours for a few dex, int or str gains

personally think a +3 guaranteed for weps at the anvil would be good.. at least a +3 is serviceable and useable.. might see a few players return

tho..this could be old news

I think we are all lvling way too fast. Content is much more important than levelling speed. What I personally would like to see is more crafting options. Craftable items that warrant spending a long time gathering mats. For example the +3 rings noone wants anymore as there are much better items out there. As a crafter we need an incentive to craft, maybe something that is hard to make but has a real reward

"CORLEONE"Well it comes down to what you get in for your time, I certainly wouldn't want to do 5 levels for .7int a level again. Maybe more stats per level would be better?
Would propose that level 131 be 200% on lvl130 and continue with the normal rates after. This would keep people busy for longer but also have the same speed:stat gains.


I think keeping the % higher is better for balance between as in mage,dex mage etc ! I would jjust say a bigger cap raise with same gains and same rates opposed to 5 levels add 10 or more tthat way you would see more varations in each class also. like a mage with more str or int or a bit of both, a dex mage with more str, dex or int etc opposed to focusing on just int and dex atm. Would be a massive buff to warriors and dex mages imo. It would also allow mages to gain some strength against the new weapons etc as you know knuckle is unpottable atm.

and it fails going +3 you get your horned bow back at +2 and 800 recoil but you lose the item put on the bow

This way it wont be such a loss so some of your time invested is returned and it will boost the economy a little

Terrible idea. All you’d do is stack SS’s and make intense +8 weaps and armors etc with ease.

If you want things not to break it’ll need to be the ghost idea which has done the rounds. If it fails you get the extra +1 and the item returns as it was when it went in. That way you could still make a good viable +5 even if it won’t go any higher as it’s actually +8.

The anvil is fine, it’s all about numbers ie the more loot you get the more chance at success.

Ghost idea complete shite idea, would rather anvil went back to no guarantee than warehouse full of shite fake upgraded items.

Could you explain your logic here?

I think this change would be one of the very very few changes that could actually get ‘new’ players (old esoma/pserver players who stumble across this server) to stick around and be competitive gear and char wise, without spending 6-12 months hardcore playing to have half a chance to do so - probs take more like 2-3 years min without insane luck, for someone with a life.

Paired with faster rates, you might have half a chance at retaining others who want to be competitive - although I feel like the GM’s are against PVP and PVP players anyway, so maybe that’s why they go for the polar opposite’s to what PVP player’s have ever asked for/wanted.

Doesn’t bother me anyway, I won’t be around - It just seems totally illogical.

Myself and Quasi have been stockpiling weapons, takes ages to get to a decent one with combine fails etc etc then just breaks at anvil through no fault of our own, quite honestly its just completely demotivating to play a game that months/weeks of work go into to just fail at +3, after spending a long af time getting to 200skill lol.

Anyone that thinks ghost upgrade is a "shite" idea is actually living in a dream world.

the ghost method is shite in that will end up with huge stockpiles of +5-6-7-8's with varying stats.. some decent ofc.. but eventually, with a failproof method of +8's they will be everywhere in some guise or other.
agree with zyzz ..getting, combining wotever ur weps to an intense and then breaking at +3 is bollox.. done it a few times recently and well cheesed off..

Mages had loads of love in the last year or so.... all those proc tabs dropping at elders
There's hardly any1 making new warriors now.. a lot harder to gear up than the +5 proc gear needed for a strong mage.
Mages everywhere... not many warriors...
Some love needed.. the +3 at the anvil for weps, and maybe things can move forward
