Extra idea for casual players to farm valour points

Author Content Date
Posting it on here cause i think this forum is most active ...

As an old esoma veteran and currently casual player i spend my daily 1-2 hours on leveling / spending daily rested and finish my daily quests for marks.

I would suggest valour points to be added to the exchange npc for daily marks also. So you can combine leveling / playing max 1-2 hour each day with getting a steady flow of valour points. It might take months to get those 400valour points needed but you will have a goal to aim for.

Already suggested it to Dan and it could be done. Would like to hear other peoples ideas about it.

10 valour per daily is good/ decent ( assuming each daily takes 60 mins.. or thereabouts )
1 valour per daily isn't
players don't wana spend months to get 1 weapon or piece of armour.
Suggest some chill pills and relaxation of this valour thing is introduced, and give the players a little of what they want.
It's a game not a torture chamber..
some can handle the pain.. most can't and won't

in a polite way ofc
x

The valour is a nice addition and hopefully when horde map is added will help immensely for gaining the majority of valour for players.

New armour, each piece from what I hear 300+ valour =1200+
New weapon depending on tag 300+

1500+ valour for 4 armour pieces plus weapon.

Not sure if this is a great thing of possibly off putting for many, it can be looked at a long time goal, something to focus on. On the other hand the large amount required could put players off, the balance needs to be right, time invested versus the reward, I wouldn’t like to be in the gm’s shoes cause no matter what - dammed if it’s too hard, dammed if it’s too easy.

I would say there are a decent amount of quests to do that will reward you with a fair amount of valour to begin with to get you started plus the crystal runs every soma day, apparently ctf rewards valour and wotw.

These should keep many busy with while we patiently wait for the horde map?

I think we need to be patient. It’s widely known that valour will be available in the upcoming hoarde mode. Why are we always wanting more?

The trails of valour went live on the 7th May 2021......

It’s the 10th May 2021 and players are already making threads about wanting more valour......

no 1's asking or begging for more valour.....
the thread was making the suggestion of valour for daily's...
and subsequent replies were referring to that.

Again was only making a suggestion to make valour also available for the leveling / farming people who won't time each 4 hours or break there real life stuff to try run crystals or kill nega 6 times a day.

Yes there are quests which can be done once and yes I will do them ... but people who play less than 2 hours a day want to level also. And as long as the new weapons / armours won't drop from mobs then the only steady way to get the valour is the crystal runs evry4 hours? And oh yeh kill 6000mobs to get 10 valour points?

There are a lot of people in the same situation as me ... wife / kids / work / hobbies and only few time each day to spend on soma. I prefer spending them doing my daily rested and daily quests. And yes I would also like that new staff for my mage and have something to look forward to. We all need something to look forward to keep us interested in a game ... :/

Eventually you’ll cap your 10 chars and be able to concentrate on valour. Just like the rest of us will be able too. Also as mentioned hoarde will be out eventually so keep your knickers on and be patient. If you want something bad enough you’ve gotta be willing to sacrifice something and put effort in for it.
