Spell Belt

A positive suggestion ...

Could the "belt" be locked so, when you use the mouse to change a spell (F5 to F8), you don't accidently throw it on the floor (leaving a hole where your heal spell (or other spell) "was" and, therefore, suffer death by stupidity) ?

I know you can use the Function buttons but on my laptop I have to hold down an additional key to use the F5-F8 stuff and I sometimes don't have time to do it and usually press the wrong combo anyway because the laptop has stupidly fiddly buttons.

Pleeeeeease ?

Pretty sure there's a way to set your laptop so you don't have to press a function key at the same time, have a google.

yes there is, most laptops have a FN lock key

if not there you have to go into your bios

lock the Fn key in the sense that you will use the function keys(F1,F2,F3...............)+FN key combinations without using the FN key then the simple way of locking the FN key is boot into the bios using F10 key on startup that is used on most laptops then in the bios screen select the option system configuration. under system configuration you will find something as action mode keys and make it enabled then save the changes and then exit the bios screen. hope the issue will be resolved on restart to unlock get into bios screen and disable action mode keys

Thanks guys ... the keys on the laptop are all "bunched up" and not spaced apart like a normal keyboard and it is still an arse even if I can bypass having to hold down the "fn" button.

It would be nice if quickly clicking onto a spell on your belt didn't cast it to the ground seconds before your oen face hits the dirt because you discarded heal instead of actually using it ....

Rebind the keys somehow like Jaheira said, it's easier for you to find a fix to the problem rather than Finito wasting his time implementing something that people don't need.

I had the same issue with the F keys. I managed change this in the bios of the laptop, YouTube should help you out with this.
