High def armour but bow nerfed?

Don’t see the logic behind bringing out new armour with higher def but then nerfing bow? No one is gonna be standing range 1-3 to get hit, and any further range u ain’t doing any damage to make it worth while keeping a bow anymore.

tbh I really do think this needs a rethink again. Make the armour the main focus of attention not by damage reduction from weps

100% agreed. I have no experience with bow but I've seen some test videos now and the results are terrible.

I believe it should be fully reversed, but no harm in discussing it further in the wider defence/armour issue, which I thought the other thread was intended for.

The reason why I don't see this as a solution is because you are balancing it around a small % of the archers, and making the remaining 90% of archers totally redundant.

From a dsoma perspective I didn't even see a large issue, at least not something that couldn't be resolved with some minor tweaking.

It was said it was done inline with the high attack of the val bow, but only a few have it and more then likely will break upgrading it, so we will be left with stingers, nega bows which with the low attack as compared to val bow and damage reduction will become obsolete now I think.

U clearly have never had lchhh run onto ur screen, 4th and hit u from range 5? With his new bow. Now he has to be alot closer means it gives people more time to react.

Sorry but from a dsoma point of view, this change is good

Imo I think this is a good thing to try. Although maybe 5% reduction instead of the 10% per range 2? I feel Mage proc-chances should be lowered to negate their output to coincide with the bow nerf. If these changes allow axe, spear and sword to feature more then is variety not a good thing?

be interesting to see what happens, sure the gms can tweak it if needed

imo though bow has been op for a long time

Be interesting to see if you guys log on more than gvw that no one attends not seen u in about 9 months. Abdo and Mannings funding it. Sure you will still show your support like you have for the last 9 months

everything is changeable and tweakable in time, as required.. just seems the tweaks and adjustments are coming a bit too soon, when hardly any1 has any of the op gear that maybe come possible.

still think everything is a bit like hard work and could be speeded up a little..( last 7-8 hours playtime.. combined of elders/vafers..not 1 valour scroll )
otherwise just gona be the hardcore 20 hours a day ppl getting it all and the majority left scratching their heads.

loads of stuff here in a few threads that are difficult to balance for gms tbf ..

in fact.. may as well make valour tradeable .. understandable it isn't considering dodgy transactions.. but .. once the valour weps etc have been acquired ..the same dodgy transactions could still be possible

brings it away from the feather ranged soma/shotgun arrow its become i reckon.
