Really well I attended the earlier testing with 4 others.

Looks great and has plenty of potential.
10 waves of different mobs/sub bosses
Gets harder and harder each round.

Team work is a must.
If you you die your out of the event.

Nice pve event.
Might reduce the toxicity levels in soma too.
As you will have to work with others you might not normally.

Big thumbs up from me.

Nice to hear it’s being tested beforehand.

Just a few questions on this hoard map...

How often will this map/event take place?

Will valour scrolls still be dropped by normal mobs or just from this map/event?

Will you be punished if you d/c while attending and be sent back to tyt or be able to continue?

Sure many others will have other questions too, thanks.

We’ll be doing more trials in the future. I’m wondering if we do some logic that states if you dc but get back in game under a minute or two you can still remain.

However, if you die you’re out.

I enjoyed it.

The only things I’d like to see discussed is removing the delay for swapping armours over as by the time I’d put my robes on all the int mobs dies and I was being battered by str mobs again.

Also remove the blind / slow / poison. We need to carry loads of pots, needing 20 of each serum is abit much I feel.

Side note look at the 200 hp pot weight and recipe and maybe carrying serums will be okay?

Edit - or a hoarde mode shop bought serum which is weight 2, only works at hoarde though.

It's currently slated as a weekly event

With the potential of another of its kind being daily, tho id of perfered this first as I don't belive a weekly event is enough to cover the endgame and ppl getting board

A idea on this I think could work and would bring a bit more fun to the event.
Monsters dropping valour and horde coins.
A npc in horde map to purchase:
Serums, Att/Def Buffs, stacks 10 hp/mp pots.
Could eventually buy AIs to attack with you?

I think this does need looking at before the launch...

Currently end game is very small on Hsoma its only valour weapons/armour and is down to SD/Double tabs and neg tear these are the only things of any value to trading. If you have done majority of the end game quests that reward these items then there is currently not much else to do. End game monsters don't drop enough SD/mystical frags to make it worth hunting once capped. No one is hunting mags as nothing is dropping of any value.
Raps/wasp drop SD but the rate is so low its 2hours per 1sd.

My worry having this amazing event once a week is that you may miss your only chance of getting valour (end game content) making it impossible to build your characters items. The server is 50% korean and they're 9 hours ahead of us. Making a event that is end items makes it impossible for the likes of people who work nights or in different time zones....

My suggestion would be remove valour scrolls from dropping from huntable monster(keep bosses), Have a npc you click on and he gives you a key set to one key every 24 hours.
You can only access portal once every 24 hours.
Portal opens every 4 hours at time 18 in soma.

This way you can group hunt with friends/guild members when it suits you. If you go in with 3 or 15 people its completely up to you. I think this would encourage group hunts rather then forced events. As a solo player you may go in with a big group or end up on your own. But at least on your own you might clear level 1 and gather a handful of scrolls ?

I think the constant poisons Etc are decent if it means you require a support char. The only downside to that is the way drops work the support char will never receive a reward. Any way of changing that?

It’s been changed now that every char in the map gets valour at the end of the wave.

Not 100% sure weather it has tho I think it would be a better idea to reward the valor at the end of waves instead of mobs droping

Isylver mentioned 1 valor per wave so that may have been aswell as mobs droping valor

My only worry is how much valor your going to get from this event if its the only way to get valor after quests (and then the events time weather its going to be ideal for all)

Like ctf iv only ever been on for 1 lol

This hoard map (concept) is without a shadow of doubt a great way forward in adding end game context, it’s been massively needed for over 4-5 years. I remember players asking, begging for end game stuff adding, countless suggestions etc over the years and now finally some progress.

But saying that I can’t believe my eyes when I see suggestions to limit how players gain the valour scrolls by saying hoarde should be once a week, once a real life day???? ISylver said from beginning this was going to be the main way to get these valour scrolls.

When these valour scrolls being needed to acquire the new top armour and weapons went against the way soma should be for a lot of players even though I feel it’s a nice tweak I have to agree with there claim and for many they left the game for this and haven’t returned.

Now if you remove the scrolls dropping from normal mobs your going to limit the casual players for really taking part cause if they have a few hours here and there through the week only way is quests and most prefer to level than quests, if you reduce the ability to gain these valour scrolls I can see the UC getting even smaller.

Now at the moment the economy is feck’d let’s be honest it’s on its arse and dead, now normally new tiers of armour/weapons dropping from top mobs/bosses create additional ways for the economy but since these new armours, weapons require valour scrolls that addition to the economy went out the fecking window and since these scrolls aren’t tradeable the economy lost out.

It’s not long ago that the human emporium was busy, in 12-24 hours first page was usually knocking onto page 2 or 3 now it takes nearly a week for first page to get onto page 2.

Only things of use seem to be double tabs, nega tears, diamonds...... great economy that.

Nothing wrong with this system, just not enough going

I understand there making it a bit harder to get ect, just don't understand that concept with soma brutal upgrade system aswell

I'd of perfered us getting valor to buy hardened valor weap, buying multiple to combine for higher tag, buy more combine and combine again till you have a decent tag, then go to the anvil and upgrade break start again

tho over a few month period that just pushing players to quit at some point, id of liked to be doing that every other day, but valors no where near available enough

Normally I respect your input but this is not exactly a great respectful narrative.

We’ll continue to work on this mechanism and will allow players to test and help us iterate the trials of valour. If you’d like to add ideas for building an economy post in the ideas section but frankly this just seems a moan rather than any valuable input into this event.

Sorry you feel it came across as a moan, was just pointing out aspects of soma at the moment.

Your hoard map is one of those moments in time.... get it right and it will do wonders for the server, get it wrong and we’ll I dread to think.

The valour scrolls are a major addition to this game to your server, if you decide to limit how players gain them it could push players away and we don’t want that. We want players wanting to play this great game.

You could allow these valour scrolls to be tradeable it would stimulate the economy, hardcore players to casual would benefit from this alone.
