Seeking the mythical tips to beat the anvil....

Other items i got (check armory on me) i had ripped 20troll rings and the rest.

So fail works for *ME*

But I dont use then 3fail in row. I just got a excel(4years every upgrade all on MM done from 100armor craft skill till I got 200) with success/fails in rows and look at the patern. Sometimes you would not belive how well it works. Sometimes its shit nonesense.


This was an interesting read.

Tbh it just shows how badly the ghost+ system is needed, almost no one has the time to farm that many high end items required to make this many attempts - it’s insane.

With ghost+ yea there’d be a lot more half decent items floating around (good for the economy anyway) but people would still spam attempts out to try to make a true +8 elite item.

With the rarity/cost of these new weapon’s and armour’s it’d make even more sense IMO.

Even if it was for armour only, to help with the crazy damage output. I guess with SS + high end new weapons with ghost+ it could actually be detrimental to balance issues.

Better for the economy and balance, plus it’d probably motivate less geared/active players to play more/grind harder - as it won’t highly likely be a total waste of time.

I’m sure people can pick hole’s in this but it sounds better to me than the current state of things.

Ghost upgrades would've been great for the economy a few years back, I don't know that the players exist to take advantage of it any more.

Still much better than the current system, where you can lose months of grind in one click. I don't think the economy is salvageable though.

Somewhat off the original topic but I gave up farming stuff a while ago. Literally nothing I need (double tabs, top tier armour/weaps) drops outside of bosses now, unless you want to spend hundreds upon hundreds of hours grinding valour/frags. The economy is in such a weird place, where farming is basically worthless - unless you have bots doing it constantly.

Ghost upgrade could probably bring people back. I would probably start farming again if it was brought in.
As pointed out by 3d, it's a botting game now. I really wish the GMs would log on unannounced and just have a quick look around the maps to see how many there are. They are fkin everywhere.

I remember the bot situation was pretty bad before I quit about 18 months ago, I can’t imagine how bad it is now.

IMO if ghost+ was brought in, you’d also take some of the advantage away from botter’s as decent items would be accessible to almost everyone - not mostly just botter’s/RMT player’s.

I’m pretty sure it’d bring back some old player’s who felt they had no chance to ever compete as well.

Ok, I think players are overthinking to much at anvil.
I’ll share 1 detail with you all, there if a point when you are upgrading where there will be 6-8 fails in a row no matter what you throw at it. Make sure u get past that stage otherwise u will break everything.

I have spent hours at the anvil doing fails only and now I am at a point where I see patterns. When I do upgrades I am 90% sure it will work but there is always a chance u get it wrong. You can’t just go by luck at the anvil you need to know previous fail patterns if you want to avoid breaking stuff. For me making +5 items is not a big deal anymore but it’s when I get to like +7 or going for +8 is when you really need to get the patterns right. The 3 fails in a row works sometimes but not always so I stopped that long time ago.

I have upped items with just 1 fail but like I said u need to spend time at anvil and try figure pattern out. Good luck all 👍

fail the upgrade you keep the wep/armor but the item drops 1 tier
for example +6 wep fail for +7 it drops to +5
