So we all work Full Time jobs (40+ hours a week sometimes) and what I wanna know is, how do people use their time efficiently in Soma.
I mean we all know the most valuable item for trading are DIAMONDs, We also know that everyone wants double tabs to upgrade their soul rings (which in their own are hard to get as soul bosses hardly spawn, even less if your race doesn't own conti). Basically we're all working towards getting Champion gear, Valour weps, Doubled Tab access and armour, everyone needs SS's, Nega Tears, Valour Scrolls. So my question is, when you log on soma after a long day in the chip shop, What do you farm to use your time as efficiently as possible. In my opinion no mob has a decent drop file let alone a decent drop rate. I've said it before and I will say it again, ELDER MAGS are only good for barr, and do people actually get decent drop from Vafers and Prisms Spiders? Before anyone says "Hoarde will fix the drought in items" no it wont, you'll probably still take around 3 weeks to get 300 scrolls, and I doubt mages and support chars will get as many Valour Scrolls as Archers and melee chars. So that will already be unbalanced. I propose if the Valour NPC is going to be the main source of Armour and Weapons for Players that the rates of scrolls are trippled. If you don't like that then perhaps add Champion armour / Valour weps to Elders and Ulti. Also I said last year that there's an isssue as players are only logging on for Big Bertha and Negamare every 4 hours which highlights the lack of drops and mobs to farm. Pots are Ridiculously expensive and weigh too much. What was the point of getting 32 con if everything goes up in weight anyway, Don't even mention the HP increase as the jump from a Horned bow and a Valour bow is INCREASED BY 90-90% all round, which is a ridic jump when you consider in soma history there has never been such increases in armour or damage % from one piece of gear to your next progressive piece of gear. But yeah, What do you farm? :)

Me personally I hunt elders when I want tabs/smalls/ oes and fp , and barr to keep up with pking costs , don’t hunt them for nega weps their awful so is their valour drop.
I hunt Vafer when I want weapons , diamonds and mystic frags , dts and rdt just genuine mele drops, I find valour is decent there as well Prism spider don’t drop macabre tons , they drop virtue More and I barely get lores there , I only hunt them when I want ancient gear, you get diamonds but obviously not at really good rate as well as mystic frags and oes Lastly hellish trolls are decent for diamonds and rubys/ fortplate and occasionally decent for valour I find hitt and miss but daily I get 2-4 valour in 200 kills I find but whenever I want titus I hunt there , I had a male legendary titus helm couple days ago hunting them and usually get quite a lot of rare titus and occasional epic.

Valour weps are great - the bow change is what broke the game bow was alrdy OP and now if you get stoned and a human with a new bow stands near you, your dead no ifs or buts your dead.
I don't get the logic for bow needing to have a stupidly high damage output at close range when it's already highest dex class.... on to what i farm.... if dsoma has conti i try and do 1 run conti mags 90 ish min hunt isn't awful isn't great but you get some drops. If dsoma doesn't have conti i suppose i'll do the apai and wizard daily for when horde works properly and hope for a bonus in the dropfile. Drops are the backbone of a game regardless of how you play mmorpg’s (PvE/PvP) they also are the biggest reason why players keep logging on. If the drops aren’t there players leave.
There isn’t enough players to run through the drop files at each mob spawns/areas to keep the flow of drops coming into circulation and to the economy. The direction of the game is down to the gm’s and sorry to say this but they have created the situation as to the main items are diamonds (ss), double tabs, nega tears, mystic frags, everything else is basically left on floor (what a complete waste of items) and then to make the point further valour armour, weapons added to create a bigger disadvantage and push more players off the game. Hoard map isn’t going to fix the problem it’s going to create more problems, the price to enter is a daily by all accounts which roughly takes a decent gear player around 2 hours to complete. Pushing the casual player of 1-2 hours 2-4 days a week even more closer to leaving and giving up. From what I’ve seen recently botters are rife, the weapon of choice seems to be knuckle (no surprise there) mat runners, crafters it’s a joke these days. It isn't possible for casual players to "farm" for Soul rings.
Those of us who cannot be online 24/7 (you know what I mean) cannot just be around when bosses spawn. Even if we are, the bosses are monopolised by the same people. No chance of getting the kill especially in the face of so many other players with massive stats. So, not "farming" for anything, just trying to play the game at a lower level. Jac/Prowler

@Isylver so basically everyone here is unhappy with the lack of drops to farm for late game. Hoarde mode needing a daily mark is kind of a joke imo and also In Ravens if you read above, I think it's at your best interest if you remove it and make it a free event.
Furthermore as people have noted above me, The economy is trash, diamonds are the currency and as i've remembered correctly diamond drops were massively decreased from DFs and Palus to deter botters but it only made it worse and normal players found it harder to get them. I would recommend diamond drop rates return to normal and or just increase the drop rate of everything by x2 as the economy is dead because no one wants to spend hours of farming mags for nothing to show for it and nothing to trade other players with. As Raven says, The backbone of an MMORPG has always been the late game, the farming, the pvp, the events, and the majority of games have an Auction, we have a Forum emporium which is fine but it's empty with people only seeling bits and bobs for Diamonds which are rare to find these days. As for soul rings I would decrease the requirement to half or increase soul mobs spawn rates to double to inflate the economy and perhaps the UC.

A few tweaks here and there and I’m sure every player would benefit.
No matter what happens with your hoard map, valour scrolls need to continue dropping from regular mobs to help casual’s and any new/returning player to acquire these during there journey. Add ancient armour to elder mags. Elder mags, vafer raps, prism spiders should drop all gems ( can’t remember but sure some gems drop some don’t ) even make them medium size for these 3 end game mobs. Barr at vafers/spiders should be identical to elder mags ( end game levelling mobs and Barr is laughable. The pricing of valour armour/weapons ( scroll and Barr amounts ) needs adjusting seriously. Edit - forgot about accessories. Let the crafters craft the +3 dex, str or int necklace to complete the set. Make the +4 full set rings, earring and necklace craftable. I can't recall a time dieing 1v1 to you, ever. You either only pvp with 3x the numbers or you stand at tyt w wh. No idea how you get the mats for all that gear as never once seen you farm, oh except d3 once where you continued hunting whilst 3 of us went grey on you. Then done the instawarp on death and claimed it was your son playing 🤣🤣🤣

With my few hours in the evening - I normally "farm " elders conti( of we own ). Purely as i set myself goals and I need to replenish Barr.
A general hunt - 80mp pots 2-3 mill ( can take up to 3 days with this as log there is still have the scrolls to do so. ) Mainly 10+ smalls - 4+ tabs in the mean time. Other wise in questing. As for the larger crappier ones take space on the quest log. Got 1 char I norm leave at boars and another at trolls on the attempts off SD / Titus. Rarely get rare tags let alone above with the SD being very small and far between
