Different guilds are usually just set up as storage. I would recommend joining a friendly enough guild called Arcanix where you can chat to people and that. You described the game as non interactive which is a fair enough assessment but it can be nice to hunt while watching a movie or something. After you have capped and if you are considering growing a brain tumour you can join one of the PK guilds.
