It feels kind of dead?

Hi guys,

Returning player here, I had a conversation with my bro about Soma which we used to play as kids and nostalgia made me create this character, I can see simple mechanics have improved greatly and many good functions have been added but I can't help but feel the game seems dead?

I must admit I am getting a bit bored already because there's no interaction whatsoever with quests and npcs etc (I expected this to be the case somewhat, I knew Soma was a bit of a grind) but it's as if no one talks in Tyt and all the different guilds I see are like 1 or 2 people.

Have I just came on at a bad time or have I missed the fun bits?

Hope all of you are well.

Yea bro. A lot of the communicating is done via discord, not as many people use the ingame chat functions. I even have global shout off lol.

Different guilds are usually just set up as storage. I would recommend joining a friendly enough guild called Arcanix where you can chat to people and that. You described the game as non interactive which is a fair enough assessment but it can be nice to hunt while watching a movie or something.

After you have capped and if you are considering growing a brain tumour you can join one of the PK guilds.

In the future we hope to see more players returning/joining with the release of horde mode, which is being worked on by GM Finito atm.

Cheers lad, all the best

Here is the link to the spreadsheet of all the quests;

That will help you to see all the things that you can do and what will become available to you as you level your character.

Hope it's helpful.

There is always something to do in soma, levelling, doing a quest here and there, crafting to name a few.

We all start the same, the journey is what you make yourself..... and the fun will never die.

On a side note - majority of players on this server always recommend one guild above any other to new/returning players, and that is Arcanix. That’s because of there leader, Franco. He is without doubt the most genuine helpfull friendliest neutral player to play soma. He is responsible for helping the majority of players ever on this server and it’s why I have on numerous occasions suggested the guild members be increased from 30 to 50.

Even if iSylver and Finito disagree or decide not to, you could at least increase one guilds membership for soma, for all the new/returning players and give them a home in Arcanix but also for Franco.
