From Finito regarding upgrades , crafting etc

It's shit like this that made me know I didn't want to be a part of this game anymore people jumping on lupi for simply suggesting something and not only is it someone jumping on him and telling him his idea wouldn't work because of XYZ it's under the belt insults calling people delusional and stuff, at least he's trying to suggest something, but let me guess their views don't match the others so he should just keep quiet and play the game.

I came along too late, all i found was a server full of negative people, paranoid people who will stoop so low, shit like threatening to pk a lvl 85 off the server when he reaches a certain level because he hit you at gvw or hit your devil at sacred stone is the reason no ones around have fun on your dead game peeps.

Agreed Kular.

Soma is a community driven game, and for the most part what’s left of this community is an absolute shit state.

Sadly the community spirit is somehow lacking now and has been for a while. In saying that there is a few of us left that go out of our way to help new players, but our good work is then undone by the minority.

Guys any of you here think is fair for someone who choose to have 250 skill on specific skill to make he is own upgrades to change now?

Even with 250 skill is hard enough to make a +8 items, most of people quit the game for that reason and you trying to make it harder?

Personally i don't have the time to craft again till 250 and the mats is to low even for 3 or 4 crafters.

Also Linnyi do you ever craft? I don't think these is a discussion for someone who didn't craft or don't spend enough time to crafting.
Are you trying to make more people disappointed and quit?
Is a game and we all playing for some reasons if it stops to be a friendly game not point to exist will end.
You can make valour weps, and hoarde easier for the people who play these game than make it more difficult.

That does sound unfair unless there was 'enough' of an upside for you, and I guess people upset might be those who are not weapon crafters.

Maybe armorers/access makers need something to make it a net positive thing? I haven't played in awhile so I don't know. What do other people think?

If the server was younger/fuller, the immediate upshot would be, you have captivated a bit of the market as only your craft and a select others with that same craft can be great at it, so your bound to get "paid orders" to do some upgrades.

i think you would have the same upgrade % currently as the system does and a bonus extra % for having more skill in the specific field your upgrading

Just my personal view...... have always felt a crafter should only be able to upgrade items that he/she has the craft skill in there perspective craft field weapon for weapons, armour for armours, accessory for accessories.

It was brought up many times in the past on esoma as to why it was never like this.........

Would it be unfair to just change this now.......

Hell fecking yes it would.

But the gm’s have moved the goal posts numerous times in the past, so they may do with what a crafter can or can’t upgrade in the future.

- Better bonuses for rarer material types used (they barely do anything right now)

- Better bonuses for higher crafting skill (including 250),

- Specific changes for 250 crafting skill e.g. higher tag chance + mythical, minimum tag increased

- Changes to success rate and skill rate multipliers, success rate being able to reach 100% each 0.1 in craft skill will change the rate, skill rate multiplier, each 0.1 in craft skill will change the rate both with different distribution over the craft skill

- Additional SR for 250 skill

- Item upgrades that are not at fixed rate to requirethe specific crafting skill to perform upgrade e.g. Armor needing Armor skill

- Calculation of success rate for item upgrade to include each 0.1 skil increase, meaning skill up to 250 makes a difference with higher skill giving higher success overall

- Higher item upgrade success rate for lower item upgrade levels


Cap raise 140 no stat increase
small diamond at mags
mystical frags at mags
New feature like gvw
Make ma great again
restore procs so db becomes worth having again
new rvr/pk map with lots of bosses
ghost upgrade
remove switch delays
remove nerf from m tag weapons
up the number of mats at abias
Make the materials for 150/200 pots easier to get
2 stones needed to win gvw + second door
More hp and bag weight and dex to human soma
cap raise 150 with stat increase

A 10’level increase where everyone ends up clones? Only build this will benefit is pure dex builds where they can keep gaining stats….

Just raise cap to 145 and revert gains after 255 back to the same rate as 230 gains…

when dex is about 8-9% @ 200+ .. how will a 10 lev increase benefit dex builds?
how much % would be needed to get 255 dex?

sounds like ur asking for a benefit for int builds.. who are proly the only builds to be anywhere near 255 int..
might be a few str builds 240+...but doubt many are 255 str..
most players would be lucky to get anywhere near 255 str with 10+ levels to benefit from your ''same rate as 230', after 255''

Needs some tweaks a little more refined than you're suggesting.
Maybe after lev 135 .. all stats are halved in % for .1 gains...
Not great on maths.. but what u just suggested seems simplistic and only in favour of mages..and in general.. not making a huge difference to any builds.
