5th aura axe (stone)

With the countless discussions and apparent tweak recently to 3rd & 5th axe auras, I thought may as well get the communities views on this.

I’ve seen different views from all sides, but I think most believe that 5th axe is far OP for 1 aura to have such an advantage that there isn’t anything to counter it.

Now one is I’ve heard increase 5th axe to 200 weapon skill, well if that was to happen then surely all 5th auras should be set the same?

With the weapon skill cap at 400, and that valour weapons all are 240 skill which leaves 160 skill to be used how you wish.

So if 5th axe and all other 5th auras were increased to 200 skill would this take away the diversity that human soma has always been in having the ability to use multiple weapons? Would this change just bring both races more inline with each and in truth make a case of stat allocation for humans just like devils?

I think it was just 5th axe that was said to be increased to 200 because of the dmg and speed of valour weapons. Pvp is the same thing, everyone has axe out waiting for the stone/counter stone then getting out the 400-500 rec valour weps and it's game over (most of the time). If anything this will bring more builds to the game like tank support, dex mages, melee tanks.

If you are going to choose end game valour weapons that are 240 skill requirement, then you should be choosing a "class" that reflects that. Let's not forget there is still 3rd axe skill which would still be viable. I did however, see that this might change to a different aura all together which is exciting.

If anything you should maybe discount my option. I've gone axe valour so any skill changes wouldn't affect me. Saying that I've still a str mage that would be as useful as a chocolate teapot if I chose to stick with valour orb and 3rd.

My final thoughts are that it seems the only logical thing to do as 5th is really only a pvp cc, and wouldn't effect everyday PvE 'er?

This has only become a issue due to the insane dps. maybe the best issue all round is just to improve survivability and re jig the HP calculations and make big HP pots cheaper

This change has been a bit counter productive in my view, we had the whole server agreeing that axe should be 200 skill….

Having adjusted 5th without making changes in other places (giving mages 4th staff) has had a negative impact on pvp.

Should defo be upped so you can’t use valour weaps with it, but then would it just be a nega knux fest again?
