HSoma 4th staff aura like dsoma

As the title says, discuss HSoma getting the same 4th staff aura as DSoma.

No, mages are slightly overpowered, at worst, even, and thats with poor gear.

Hasn't broken dsoma / Rvr

whenever i come up against humans they just run for 10 seconds or use dispell sets ><

The problem with this and the 5th axe changes and the game as a whole is that other melee weps become more and more useless. no1 is standing still for any melee wep to hit them. only axe has the capability of forcing someone to stand and take dmg.with the dmg that u can do with a val bow why would anyone go Range one melee? there are 0 benefits u ain't any tankier using a range one wep u don't do significant enough extra dmg to make it worth taking the risk of playing a range one wep. Its my opinion that ranged nerfs haven't done enough to make using a range one wep anything but a oddity but then again pvp is pretty much dead anyway

Before any changes, maybe a good time to look at all the auras and see if changes could address the myth of bow.

I’m sure the auras and the attack damage or lack of is the main reasons as why soma still is the myth of bows.

Making all weapon types viable is the only way to finally kill off this myth of bows in soma.

One thing that might be worth trying is instead of a ranged nerf make it so if u have a ranged 1 wepong equipped u get a % of dmg reduction from melee and.magic for example equipping a axe gives u 50% dmg reduction a sword gives u 40% dmg reduction a spear and nuk give u 30% dmg reduction obv the figures might not work but it would bring tanks back obv with this change u could removed the range buff or make it less significant

As you know I’m a swordie at heart and always will be, but looking at the attacking auras sword has 3rd, 4th, 5th auras they all seem weak, Cooldowns seem too long. So it makes you feel why bother going toe to toe when I can kill from range much better?

Bumping this to the top above my threads as I think this deserves more attention.

I personally have no idea of its place in human soma, however whilst 99% evasion/accuracy exists with gear and dex, and the long cast times of mages vs obscene recoil speeds of melee weapons, it seems justified.

I guess it depends if weapon speeds are going to be harmonised to be be more normal in the future? That would be what makes that decision easier in my opinion.

People more experienced in PvP should come forward on this I think.

maybe make 4th staff uninterruptable on a rng basis - say, randomly, every 3rd ~ 6th cast........

and add an increased cast speed = 5 ~ 15%? - maybe that is faster when 100% manna, slowing as manna level reduces....

So most mages already use 5th axe aura to stone players and your asking if you should also give them uninterrupted casting.................

So..... stone em then blast em game over?????

stone - as the name implies - turns you to stone. This makes you frozen but still vulnerable to full damage, and unable to fight back.

Stone could be changed to any of the below:

1/ frozen but undamageable, or with greatly reduced damage - 95% damage reduction?
2/ slowed to walking pace but able to fight back - with 50% slower recoil?
3/ require 200 axe skill to use
4/ cannot be re-stoned for 5~10 seconds
5/ what ever else people can think of......
