Had better luck at 150/200 skill anyone who says to me if 250 skill is worth doing i refuse point blank cause it lacks results everyone might have different opinions that's fair enough just understand the reality of getting to 250 skill is for the maximum chance of upping items and then get absolutely nowhere bit of a lose/lose situation damned if you have 250 skill and then start questioning if you have low skill.

i agree

took 6 bows up with pretty much same result not that long ago

iv managed to fail +7 540 epic bow , +7 int 530 bow and rare +7 490 rec val sword 1 by 1 with 3 fails prior to upping them on 250 skill.

250 isnt worth it

It's a fairly small boost. If you don't have a huge sample size (1000+) you're not going to notice the difference from the regular variance.

That said pushing crafting to 250 was bad, lazy design that didn't address the game issues in any way and did nothing but encourage bot use.

doesnt matter if you got 10 fails before your upgrade the success chance on the next one will still be the exact same. also craft skill doesnt even matter with ss upgrades

The myth here is that all the upgrades people are doing double tabs and SS’s are fixed skill (175?).

250 skill is only for toes/acc/eva and proc that are capped at +5 which if you tried any of those to be honest the success is reasonable.

I feel more confident going +8 than I do +3 mind. +3 seems brutal but I haven’t keep any data or got any facts. Just a feeling.

when fin overhauled the anvil last year.. it was ok/much better for a few months...but
last 6 months or so it's gone seriously downhill..
i farm vafers.. combine nux/bows all day long.. have a good supply of di's/ss's ..had approx 50 ish val weps too..
and not made a +8 anything for 5-6 months..

some people are making them.. tho probably less now as you have to pay thro the nose for a decent val wep these days..

it's a shame that with 250 skill u have such problems and have to rely on selling ur granny and the kitchen sink to get something decent

age old problem with this server.. but
the anvil could use a overhaul and something a little different to improve things

here's hoping that maybe the gm/s could give us an overall picture of the state of the game and what/ if anything can be expected in the future..

the server isn't exactly busy atm, but there's a fairly healthy, steady usercount.. a little relaxation of the anvil might bring back a few more players
as it stands.. it's pretty brutal atm to have any chance of catching up with gear to compete.

The barr in game is disgusting 5 mill a go just so you waste a weeks efforts
The server has been rinsed so much of its barr it needs more dropping.

Random val/champ/corrupted drops would also welcomed " tov wave bosses only even?" seeing as its in a bit of a state and save us poor players laying out all for nothing.

Worst thing the server brought out was val wep's and this is just another reason why it's cleaned everybody out so much so barr has value now lol but no one has barr?

I mean you used a dodgy client to get willow to 250 skill so do not deserve a better success rate.

It was well documented you never replied even to people who were buying goods from you on forum. They recorded you running back and forth ignoring everything for over 4 hours.

So i mean if you use modified clients you need to take the good with the bad.

There are 2 types of upgrades….

The upgrades that only go to +5’s and the +8’s

The upgrades that require 0 craft skill to upgrade use the 175 craft skill success rate.

The upgrades that require craft skill use your craft skill for the success rate.

Now I’ve said this before and even before the last anvil/success rate was tweaked and it’s this….

If you have more skill than the 175 craft skill then YOUR crafting skill SHOULD override the 175 success rate.

So if you have 200 or 250 craft skill THIS is the success rate it uses.

Is 250 craft skill worth it NO, it wasn’t worth it when it was 200, and supposedly each attempt that you try the previous attempt/attempts have absolutely no bearing on your success rate. So using some form of failure system has nothing to do with your next attempt.

For the record I was having more success when my craft skill was 150 than at 200 and 250.

Should there be another look at the anvil, maybe but I would look more at all the obstacles and brick walls that are in place first and remove/tweak them.

You shouldn’t have to work through half a dozen procedures in a game just to upgrade let alone walk away with something after being at the anvil.
