1) Go into the launcher folder. Rename the .bin file to .exe and copy to C:/Myth of Soma/
2) Open the launcher.ver with notepad and change the number to 3.

My PC is doing this too, I have no files in the launcher folder & the .ver file is already set to 3.

I've tried a few things by adding authenticated users to the folder permissions & swapping around some of the permission settings but still no luck.

Running the file as admin doesn't change anything, I also tried downloading the Windows 7 Registry fix that allows you to take ownership of files and folders but that didn't seem to help either.

Rename the the file in launcher called from SomadevLauncher.bin to Somadevlauncher.exe.
now copy this file into the main soma folder.

Copy and don't replace now rename the Somadevlauncher.exe you just copied to Somadevlauncher.exe (3)

run launcher on desktop as admin.

worked for me.

Thanks for the reply isylver, and basil.
None of this seemd to work, so ive spent the night round my brothers and he has put his soma on a memory stick and transferred onto mine, which is now working fine.
its weird that the new patch has caused me so many problems,as well as others, and im sure if it wasn't for my brother I would still be stuck asking for help.

Just re-download the client and install it again. The client download has been updated to the latest version already.
