A Few Ideas/Suggestions

Archers Cheesing Bosses;

As stated in this thread http://myth-of-soma.com/Forum/Thread.asp?ID=5095&title=How+about+making+bosses+have+ranged+attacks%3F&Page=1
Whenever a boss like Lifeless Troll/Berserk Demented Hog/Tiresias/Dionaea/Gorshak spawns, multiple archers will rush to the boss in order to lure the boss away to cheese it. It doesn't help that some of these bosses are untraceable so you have to trace common lurers instead.
By trapping themselves in mobs they can avoid getting hit by the boss and get essentially free drops, while range 1 characters have to rinse out their pots in order to tank these bosses.
In order to prevent this, i can only think of a few suggestions;

Make bosses unable to be attacked when between a player and a common monster~
By doing this, which is basically the same change which was applied to cliffs, any method of cheesing a boss is automatically null, since they can no longer avoid receiving damage without hitting the boss.
However i am unsure if this would be possible.

Give all bosses search distance 5~7 and current AoE spells range 5~7~
This would achieve similar results as Shironim as that anyone that is in range of the boss would be targeted and hit by the AoE spell and no one would be able to escape getting hit. If the bosses were changed to always change target, this would further improve it.

Make bosses use a 'when hit' status with a spell as a counter~
If this were to to happen, say at 50% rate in theory, every 2 hits would result in people outside the tank getting hit by a spell which would not interrupt mages and cannot be dodged.
But this may require effort to code.

Demented Warthog and Crimson Apai;

This was a much needed change for the str classes of Dsoma to bring them onpar with the dex classes, however there are a few issues surrounding them.
With them having 1~75 min dmg, 4th axe aura / range attacks. It makes it impossible to hunt them without a healer. Within 20 minutes, over 200 +100 hp potions can be used, to give a bit of perspective on this issue.
To further add to min damage problem, you can wear your best gear, or wear strong armour and still take the same damage because the range is so high. As soon as the mobs are able to do 75 damage to you, they can also do 1 damage.

A theoretical example of a solution to this would be to give
Warthogs 310~320 Attack and 1~5 min damage
Apai 350~360 Attack and 1~5 min damage

If we say for example a character has 270~320 def and is hunting Warthogs.
This means Warthogs would do 1~40 damage if they were to have 310 Attack.
If the 310 attack rolled against 315 defence, the Warthog would do between 1~5 damage.
But if the Warthog rolled against 290 defence, it would do 20 damage.
By doing this, without gearing specifically for defence, you would still take damage, however the damage would be more reasonable than it currently is, but if you were to gear properly, you'd take a lot less and near minimal damage.
Warthogs still have 180 attack dex and 4th axe so they would still cause damage even when minimal damage is achieved, the same with Apai as their range.

War of the Worlds;

From my point of view, this could use a little boost from both sides to get attendance up / more motivation to participate and to ofcourse have fun.
But i do not know why people don't go, whether it's because they can't be bothered, have work/busy, or there's no reason for them to win etc, so i can only come up with these ideas which in my own opinion could help to make Conti more desirable and increase attendance at War of the World.

Give f10 stats a 10% boost to the race owners to promote hunting in Conti. By having an extra 10% attack/defence, people would chose Conti over anywhere else, but that would also come with its own risks.

To further increase attendance, give the race winners 10% rested with increasing returns for for each successful defence. By this i mean;
1st defence 15% rested
2nd defence 25% rested
And so forth..

Free +50 Hp/Mp pots. Some people may not attend because of the cost involved in War of the World despite wanting to join in.
If there was an npc in the Safe Zone that provided these Free +50 potions, then this may also help.
Ofcourse these would have to be nulled / deleted once War of the Worlds is over, which is where the difficulty lies.

I am aware that some of these ideas/suggestions would take time to perform, or may not even be possible at all, but i thought it would be better to say something than nothing at all.

Feel free to post any more ideas or if you have an argument against something.
Thanks.

Couldn't agree more about bosses and it's a point that's been raised before, gorshak and in some cases dionaea are two bosses that I no longer attend unless it's exclusively with guild.

I don't see why I or any other range 1 character for that matter should have to spend 350k+ to tank a boss while archers sit nice and comfortable outside of damage range and walk away with a drop? doesn't seem fair at all so I'd rather not be part of it because even I do get the drop it wont compensate for what I've already spent to be there and if archers don't get the drop then it's oh well they've spent near nothing anyway so no loss. Meanwhile I'm down like 350k.

As for hogs and apai, without sounding like a complete dick here these are two mobs that are completely horrid to hunt if you're not bow or knuckle, 1~75 minimum damage, 4th axe and 180 attack dex makes hunting there without a healer completely pointless since str classes are hit 95% of the time. It doesn't make sense to me that after multiple levels at hogs have had no effect on the damage I take due to how the mobs are. Imo I think it's silly to have a mob hitting that hard and that often and have 4th axe on it.

The healer option is always there but tbh I shudder to think how str classes are going to hunt apai effectively since they're pretty much worse than hogs and ranged so sort of healer proof.

In the next update:

Crimson Apai and demented warthog have had their min damage dramatically reduced.
