I think it's a real shame that there are actually such a huge variety of spells in soma and virtually all are not used.

Isylver has done a great job balancing out the various aspects of pvp (int hero, eva reduction etc.), and it would be great to see the spells balanced out too.

I think everyone knows that as soon as humans get conti - guild wars, pking and all pvp will be reduced to simply weaken + Dragon's Breath as it has done time and time again before.

Balancing out spells doesn't necessarily mean that all spells are exactly the same - variables such as range, power and MP usage mean that spells can be useful for different things.

Also, as a pker I think that, as the 'dev req' magic spells are basically the only benefit of becoming a pker, it makes sense that these spells be far more powerful. Perhaps high power but with higher mp usage?

I think it would really spice up the game if people were encouraged to use the wide range of magic available.

having a few spells that rely on staff skill as well as int and colour would almost creat a psudo mage calss for Hsoma for low to mid lvls and some other spells no-attack related would also give some mage feel to the game.

I personally dislike the 'no int damage cap' aspect to the server, simply as OP stated, people will just weaken and DB spam.

I do feel as if melee was given the nerf hammer with all the subtleness of Mjolnir here, with the dodge / eva / accy / hero boots nerf.

I also feel like Int is the troll holding the hammer lol, hunting has been made a lot harder for melee classes, and Int has been made a lot better.

The original dodge % rate was good, people choose dex weps for it solely in a lot of cases.

Were sword auras nerfed? Or spear? I know axe was, but I am confused as to why certain aspects of the PvP system were nerfed and not more.

The way I see it, Int had a damage cap, so that players did not feel like they HAD to get v high int in order to PvP, taking away the damage cap means that every player is forced to level int to a higher level than maybe they would have enjoyed doing, just to not get 2 hit from DB.
