hi, its been mentioned many many times, can you please explain why 1 revive from a devil can cause over 1.0 of int and wis to be lost? seems extremely unfair

maybe its a direct result of brain damage caused by dieing over and over.

It's because for melee characters INT and WIS are usually behind. Each stat requires a certain XP to go up, with slowdowns this number is increased. So if you'd lose a lot of XP lower stats will drop more than your main stats. It should also come back as easy as it is lost.

disagree with you ghostlord, because it's only 1 death, I died once, not a chain death and lost 1.0 of both, and trust me o don't gain 1.0 int in a whole level let alone 3% of a level. as previously mentioned if you DO chain death for griefing you can lose 40+ int in 10 revives.... not right

My post was regardless of right or wrong at this point, just stating how I believe it works.

I died to humans long ago while they invaded conti, it did not force warp me, and on my first revive I lost 2.2int/wis and 3%.
Second revive I lost 0.6int/wis. When I finished my level, my total gain was 0.9int/wis. I mentioned this before but nothing was done, so I think reviving to the opposite race, and well as losing 2 whole levels of gains in 1 death is all as intended.

I died once. Revived and lost more than 1.0 int. Considering I gain less than 1.0 int per non-punch level that's pretty bad.

2.2int and wis lost when i was in my 30s? died to a human and revived on conti.
Died again to the same 2 humans not knowing i'd actually revive, and lost a further 0.6 of both stats. Ive posted this 3 times now, is it actually any worth bumping? |

I heard the int/wis loss is so high as a deterrent for people trying to grief level, just what I heard though so it could be wrong.

Happens to all stats not just int/wis, tends to be that the lower they are, the more you lose per revive. One revive at around 50 str can lose .5 str a death.

Are you saying you died to the opposite race and lost stats?

In my case, yes.
