OK finally figured out what the problem was.

If you die by magic attack it was passing -1 job value to function that handles death and therefore it was skipping the job/class check for player.

The fix for this will be in next update.

So only people dying by Magic were able to revive? (Makes sense, as they always revived when I blew them up)

Being able to revive in race pvp was fixed but the excessive stat loss at lower stats still remains which was the issue of the thread.

Since I reported this a couple months ago and have levelled a lot I can confirm the following:- int/wis losses are now more 'normal' losing only .2/.3 if you die. I've never lost more than .1 of any other stat in one death however.

I made an archer alt and at level 21 I died and lost .8 then .6 then 1.1 int. levelled to 22 and died once and lost 1.4 int.

When I levelled I gained .7 int 50% of what I lost in 1 death.

Seems lower levels are affected much more severely and I would still consider this a bug.
