So just reading another thread that said i shouldnt train on mobs that im stronger than...

In the recommended mob section on the armory, are the mobs in any particular order? IE the mob at the top is best for me, or is it random? Currently have 37 str and scale raps seem to be doing fine so far, but would i be advised to move on and go for say, orc chiefs been as they have better str than me?

A good mob for you would be Werewolf.

I did WW, Lycan, D1, Giant Spiders, D2, then Trolls, now at Wraith.

Also no, armory recommended mobs are not in any order.

Just because you are over the str of a mob doesn't mean that they aren't good either, especially at lower lvls. As an example, on dsoma, stone golems have 20str according to the armory yet give great stats till 35+ star. I think the amount of exp a mob gives also has a great impact on stat gain which is why scale raps and raps give fast stats. Their low HP/exp ratio means stat gains are faster than at werewolves which seemingly are more suited to you.

From what i understand it is better to hunt better mobs with higher stats than you because you get better stat gains per xp. However, at lower levels/stats where you are the extra stat gains per xp is so small that it doesnt really end up benefiting you all that much.

I would stick to raps if i were you.

you should be fine as long as your str is under the str cap for the mob.
On human world gains for different stats ie str; dex; int may vary by the mob you attack.
General rule str cap for a mob is at least +20 to the str shown in the armory.
