Is it best to run first aura constantly or spam 2nd aura every time it's off cooldown for the highest damage per second?

2nd always, since it's an extra hit, while 1st is just a damage bonus. If you hit 5 times in 7 seconds you'll be getting an extra 25 dmg from 1st while 2nd will give you the damage of a full hit with +5 aura damage which effectively makes you do 6 hits in 7 seconds and that extra hit will always be greater than 25 damage.
