Longevity is tough for a lot of players - some find Soma a big addiction so when they are playing they play over 10 hours of the day and the only way they see they can stop is to hit uninstall and forget about it.

Done that plenty of times myself. The higher you get I suppose if you're playing casually you can't really get anywhere quick enough to make it worthwhile.

Rested running out at 50 gets rid of a lot of people eventually too, even if they keep it going till 60 or so.

Life happens I suppose. I've got 4 decent characters and kind of getting to point where I've retired all of them really.
I wish I had a multi or a 'brother' but sadly I've never been good at sharing.

I loved leveling TheHood but bow on Dsoma... Grind it out to lvl 85 and then punch mobs till cap? Sounds like the best fun ever, hold me back ;p if that had been explained to me before I created it, I wouldn't of bothered lol

Hope your friends come back soon or you make some new ones :)

On DSOMA punching gives equivalent gains in all stats (it's like same stats as sword, but you get int gains on top of it). An archer on DSOMA will cap their dex well before they hit level 100, so to keep their character competetive they are forced to punch the last 10 or so levels.

Couldn't of put it better!

I play for enjoyment really, I like to hunt - I was NEVER good at punching on esoma.
Respect to the archers who have already grinded it out as much as they could.
I just decided once it became clear that I'd probably quit before I made it through 50% ;D alas - condemned to noobness forever

To maximise stats as archer punching your last few levels is advised but it is still one of the fastest classes to cap.
It's a shame dex caps off and the dex/wis reset bug hasn't been fixed.
That way punching the last few levels wouldn't be seen as mandatory.

My Esoma char had less than 300hp at lvl 60. Fair enough didn't know what con was but in early days but even so ;p I suck at punching 1 had a few folk offer to punch for me - such a caring community ;p
I think not lol

On topic, I've just come back after a few months off and seems fairly active still. Had some decent fights with NM past few days.
