All I was trying to do was clarify to Deimos it's not a devil melee issue as such and is more a devil Mage issue. However you guys play it with Dan is up to you but can tell you attacking a human in gold armour and seeing him pot once is just as depressing for dev melee. Just fortunate that most humans focus on int builds.

Human MA is OP wawawa. Archers can lock us out.

Seriously though, its a rolling % so if there is an issue, it will sort itself out. Genfuser, Nuclear and Goat half HP me in a second with an aura or 2 hits and they have just been given a 12.5% damage boost.

It's all good, just work as a team.

Hi Mr Brick Wall here,

In the old state what would happen:

Devils win WOTW, Human % goes up, because human % goes up, Devil MD goes up.

What now happens

Devils win WOTW, Human % goes up, Human MD goes up.

It's a balancing act and if you want to boycott the war then we're not going to consider anything as tested and will leave it to work itself out.

Although do note we've altered the % to 75% devils 100% humans for the next war.

Why was testing not done before this was 'fixed'?

From what I understand the win ratio for both races was almost even, Even though humans went through a spell of not bothering to turn up for wars for months.

In my eyes this would suggest it was balanced the way it was and didnt need touching, To change something like that this late in the servers life is pretty silly considering the amount of time people have invested in their characters and choosing a build to use for it now to become obsolete.

but what do I know I am only a player and am not familiar with balancing in a game, I will see how it is at the wotw but if its as bad as I think it is going to be then I'd rather the humans won a few times and made our % increase. it is not boycotting, it is simply playing smart and waiting till the % is at our advantage which may take a few weeks/months in s0rc,laz and my case.

melee will be 1 shotting people by the time a mages damage is anywhere close to where it used to be.

Do what you have to do. Boycott w/e.

As for testing this 'fix' we only noticed the issue when moving other areas around. We're a 3 man team.. if you want a fully fledged testing process with numerous iterations your playing the wrong game mate.

We'll see what happens from here at the wars etc and make a call. Spitting your dummy out will just make us less likely to look into it.

What I did notice from that SS that Dan put on the other day is melee actually hurts now from pretty much anyone and the deva that have low int will get hurt but if they get close enough that 5th from goat was hitting me for half Hp

Id like to suggest a comprimise, Devil ma with 200 int is similar to someone with 160ish int with decent gear on hsoma, But unlike hsoma we cannot choose to be melee as a mage or magic as a melee therefore we are supposed to excel at our main form of damage.

How about we get a new staff with MA around the damage of a melee weapon instead of the current top staff (99 skill 100 int req compared to the 130ish skill req of every other top end weapon) being around 30~40 dmg it could be around 70~90 on par with a 2 handed untag sword and req 130-150 skill to use and say 150+ int.

This addition may take some of the sting out of the nerf to devil magic damage and keep us happy.

As I said we're going to watch what happens. If we have to buff Dsoma mages eventually then so be it. There is also the option to buff Hsoma attack and Defense instead.

We'll see how it goes.

If devs own conti and are hunting and a human raids, are the % for the following fight he same as wotw? Or does the owner of the map have a higher boost

Owner of map is on 100%

Attacker is on -12% of there current wotw %

Owning conti gives a experience boost
