rates are simply to fast for a slow rate server

Author Content Date
server is brillant dont get me wrong n im really enjoying playing a server where there is a good population but when there are giulds created on day 2 and people with 60+ stats with in a week then things are moving to fast, give it 2 more weeks even normal character will have gone threw 80 or 90% of all game content.

server needs to be wiped n started as slow as possible. i would lay a bet down right now, level 70 characters will be in game with in a month. its just far to fast. and becasue of mthe rates this to gap between multis and normal charaters is just massive all ready.

theres nothing more to be said. rates are 2 fast, just look ingame for the evidence lol

I thought the same a few days ago, but stats after the 65 slow down become ridiculously slow. The reason people are so high already is because they've been playing a lot of hours each day and know the exact monster route for the fastest possible stats, soon they will become burnt out and their levelling speed will decrease because of this alongside the stats slow downs are various stages.

It's interesting I've had this comment as I've also had more people say it is too slow... add a goldilocks analogy in there and it must mean it's just right.

The rates are perfect. Not too fast not too slow. People are looking OP at the moment due to hardcoring a brand new server and you'd be silly to not expect that. Another thing you are over looking is that slowdowns make a massive difference. On esoma you could pick up an axe and have 40 str in a week atleast. People have done the same here. Add multis into the equation and again it makes it look even worse. As always multi's will get grieffed to base stats. Botters will get banned and the hardcore will burn out. Its a marathon not a sprint. Enjoy your ingame time and you cant go wrong.

Good server, rates for 8 years ago for me would be perfect. However with job and life don't have enough time to play to compete. Just my 2 cents.

Rested xp doesnt quite make up for the difference between being able to play 2 hours a day instead of 12 but thanks for the helpful insight....

You're looking at this as a short term thing.

The top players on Esoma were the long term steady slowly players, not the ones that were super quick to level at lower levels then gave up.

As long as you continue to play, your 2 hours a day over a couple years will weigh up to far more than those 12 hours a day over the next few weeks till they give up.

Don't know if anyone else has mentioned it, but I kinda feel skill rates are a bit too slow in comparison to main stats.

I feel this as well. I did ask in town and was told all stats had same increase. I feel axe is very slow compared to stats

Agreed. Since the hard cores are playing all the time they never get rested xp. Could we explore increasing the rate at which we get it? Not talking by alot. I realise the way it works atm with the longer you are away the more it stacks. Though as above, I work all day, get a few hours in the evening.

As an example, i played for a few hours yesterday, used up my rested xp and played on for another level without any. Though the rested XP was only around 6~7 % for inactivity of around 20 hours.

Again not looking much, just would be nice to get a little more like 0.5~1% an hour. with 0.5 % an hour thats only like 2% more than what we get now.

What you need to consider is what iSylver was mentioning previously on this.

The rest XP is based on a % not a specific amount of EXP, so long term that 7 or 8% you're talking about could take several hours to gain, you will then start to see the benefits of it. At low level you'll hardly notice it at all, same can be said about all games that give you rest EXP, you don't notice it at level 1 but you certainly do at lvl 60!

How long has it been since launch now, 2 months? We have lvl 70+ chars already... rates aren't too fast though it's an issue with multi's in my opinion but multi'ing isn't against the rules so nothing we can do meh :p

Even though this thread is old it would be hilarious if multi'ing started being policed on here because the amount of characters that would be gone would be interesting to say the least.
