I am not sure, and may be mistaken, but i was under the impression you can no longer gain int at level cap.

I've heard you can still gain int at lvl cap and i don't think it can be changed. But don't quote me on that.

"GRAVIJA"There is a drawback to being pure mage or highly magic based levels, mages will never be able to recooperate the levels they've lost doing int. Where as primarily str based chars will be able to still cap int at level 100 (providing they hit it and presuming the level cap isnt raised when they do) I agree. Int will only become a problem if the level cap is raised too soon. If its kept at 100 the people wasting levels on int wont have the dex to cast at anyone.

I think theres only 5 people on server with close to 100 str.

[quote="ACAELUS"]
No one will be using sword as a pure weapon after 95 strength. I know its technically viable but It still has to be supplimented with bow imo. Dex > all.

[quote="ACAELUS"]
Easy to say well stop the mage from casting yeah and I do, when I can get close, however the damage doesn't scale the same with melee and int, not saying I want to 3 shot people but its quite sad when I'm better off equipping my staff than using a sword.

I think this is seen as a problem now as on soma in the past by the time we saw db many already had high levels of str and int, basically in the end it all levels out, ranged attacks always were better for pvp and unless something drastic is changed that will always be the case.

"ORANGE"I've heard you can still gain int at lvl cap and i don't think it can be changed. But don't quote me on that. I believe this is a bug and it should be fixed. I don't really know what is fixable or not though, but I'm pretty sure this is. *edit* Correction this has been fixed in 2011 and re-tested today.

Too many have benefited from it's use for too long, so nerfing is not the logical option. Maybe strengthening some other spells or adding new versions / levels of current spells.

Perhaps the solution is a buff to int gear?
As an example, I duelled razor he used int I went meele, He has 5 more int than me, I have 20str and. 20 Dex more than him, and I probably got him to 3/4 hp with loads of interrupts and his int like 3 hit with weaken, if sorc was stronger perhaps it would nullify how hard int hits at similar levels

Variety and options are good game design.
The problem is the power difference between devils and humans. In my opinion humans need to be buffed in such a way that they are on par with devils, not just in terms of pvp, but in terms of lvling speed too. |

"BLACKHAT"Variety and options are good game design. Oh you mean until dsoma basically becomes a poor man's hsoma with no crafting, no upgrades and no ability to learn multiple weapons whenever they feel like it? Lol behave yourself mate. On a serious note if that's the case, might as well make both worlds exact copies of each other and give devs everything I just listed above.

"BLACKHAT"Variety and options are good game design. Think you'll find that it's predominantly the mid-levels where Devils get a large leveling advantage over Humans. After that, it's pretty much the same. Hsoma and Dsoma monsters before the 'nerfs' provided around the same stat/% per monster, Devils advantage of higher weapon damage allowed them to plough on through the mid-levels. The higher-end Devil monsters have all had their % slashed and a few Hsoma ones were buffed. This is to balance out the leveling speed, as such, top-end humans level around the same speed as top-end devils, but Devils had a head start getting there. With Conti, this is more evident. A Leiver Beast provides almost twice the leveling speed as a Conti AB. Something to help mid-level humans would be nice.

"S0RCERER""BLACKHAT"Variety and options are good game design. I won't believe there is any balance while devils have to be on 60% of their power just for us to even provide a good fight.

"CARNAGE""BLACKHAT"Variety and options are good game design. You're on 60% of your power at wotw anyway so you're kissing your stats goodbye. Why would anyone listen to someone who can't even see how unbalanced the two worlds are.

"BLACKHAT""CARNAGE""BLACKHAT"Variety and options are good game design. So make both worlds the exact same, you know give humans devil-like attack weapons and defense oh and make them level faster as well. While giving devs the ability to learn more than one weapon, upgrades and a crafting system. Perfectly balanced right? I've never been against balance, I just don't think humans should be EXACTLY on par with devils when they have all these little perks.
