They are two different types of soma and is best left separate, but there needs to be some work on balancing in the future.

"CARNAGE" All I spoke of is the imbalance. Wouldn't it be nice to be 100% 100% or very close at wotw? I never said I had all of the solutions, but lets not deny there is an extreme problem with balance. Lastly, you can't compare damage/defence and leveling speed to having crafting, potion making and all that jazz.. They're two different things. You also seem to be coming from the perspective that I am a bias human, but i play both worlds often on every server, so i know all too well what dsoma is all about.

So make both worlds the exact same, you know give humans devil-like attack weapons and defense oh and make them level faster as well. While giving devs the ability to learn more than one weapon, upgrades and a crafting system. Perfectly balanced right?
I've never been against balance, I just don't think humans should be EXACTLY on par with devils when they have all these little perks.[/quote]

If we're talking about WoTw then exactly what else would you do? Nerf devils? Populations of both worlds are fairly close, yet one worlds is extremely overpowered, so either you nerf one or buff the other, its not too difficult to see the logic.

That is a very limited way of looking at things, you're saying we should not balance the power of the worlds because then Dsoma would not be balanced in terms of crafting? Look, at the end of the day, Isylver and Finito are not that dumb to overlook such glaring imbalances. You can't not fix something because it might show how other things are already imbalanced. I think you jump to conclusions too fast, the worlds could be balanced in many many ways. Currently, for Hsoma I feel like it sucks knowing devils will always be stronger and as a devil it sucks knowing that only 60% of stats are being used.

Nerfing a race would be nearly impossible or at the very least very impractical. If anything the weakest race will be buffed. However, until humans use their full potential - namely upgrades, there's no justification for neither a buff nor a nerf.

The upgrade side of Soma Hsoma has never been accessible for anyone other than the hardcore players, the casual, for which Heaven has focused on will likely never get to use upgrades which would actually make a difference. This is a presumption based on what i've seen so far, but after players have put in 300+ hours we're still not seeing many upgrades then you can write off the idea that crafting balances the worlds.

There are plenty of ways for lower lvls to gather upgrades, people just don't put in the effort (stiges for frogs, trading, gathering small gems to make them bigger and extract them). Crafting won't balance anything, you're right. But there is a big chance that it will shift the balance slight up to a lot, even in humans favor. That brings me to another points - how was SS yesterday?

Just make Dragons Breath have a 2~5 second delay simples.
It would require a little more micro skill between other spells, no more weaken right click DB = dead anddddddddddddd if you really want to 2 shot someone you need 2 people to hit with DB.... |

I think the effort:reward ratio for SS is too small for any worth-while turnout. Yesterday there were about 5 humans from Equil, 2 from Dark Legacy and that's about it. Devils vastly outnumbered Humans and the staying power of devils (due primarily to +100's) made it impossible to down devils who actually bothered to use potions. Same as each week basically.

How would making any changes to the game in its current state be informed at all?
We need at least 3-6 more months of letting people cap out and start to see the final form of each race (although truth be told it may need to be nearer a year till the best humans are wearing 3/4 upgrades in each slot) before anything should be considered. In any case, % is truly the best way to do it anyway, the high bagweight/raw stats of devils can never be accurately balanced with the flexibility and upgrades of humans. It would be silly to try and risk breaking each world when % can do the job.

"BELKA"How would making any changes to the game in its current state be informed at all? When you've a handful of 80+ humans, you'll see % will never go below 70% for devils. On Esoma, humans managed to win wars at 85+% with good attendance. As stated before (or in another thread?) leveling speed for mid level devils is so much higher than mid level humans, but the situation changes slightly in favour of hsoma (for lvling speed) at 60+ on this server. Stat gains in the mid-levels are also really shit on Hsoma, you have to remember that from level 50, Devils can be hunting monsters with 135+str, that's like a level 50 human hunting Drazils that only have 60dex. It's no mystery why devils level quickly through mid-game.
