100% XP pots

Not sure if this has been brought up before. Anyway the idea is basically adding 100% XP pots to the donation store.

After any game that's been out for a long time they add things to the cash shop which lets you skip levels, faster levelling or something of that nature. It won't be ground breaking or unfair as so many are capped anyway and to be involved decently in any PvP you need to be a high lvl anyway. Also don't forget end game is now pretty gear dependant.

This way the server will get some decent income, new players will donate and there will be a higher userbase/end game pvp etc etc etc. Let's be honest, this game isn't the most fun to level and takes a vast amount of time... why not make it so everyone wins?

An example could be as follows:

x5 100% XP pots for £4.99
x20 100% XP pots for £19.99
x50 100% XP pots for £34.99

This method will allow players to benefit by committing long term with the more you buy the more you save. Just an idea.

The server will benefit greatly in my opinion and so will players who want to level. I've spoken to a few people and all said they would love this and buy them including myself.

They could also work in conjunction with normal rested. So say you have 20% rested which will be x2 faster for 20%. Use your pot and you could get x4 for 20% and then x2 for the other 80%. Just an idea, if not just have it so it just gives 100% for that level.

What are peoples thoughts on this?

The problem you face is that... 100% at level 90 is worth a hell of a lot more than 100% exp at level 50. It would have to be a fixed value (extra large rested potion)

Think rested exp potions could do with looking at

They don't seem worth it atm

Think last I used one was lvl 50 ish and it gave me 3%

Re-Read what I posted

And yes, I think 3% at lvl 50ish is a little on the small side, and that was a large rested potion

Tho I spose it depends on how many ppl have

Medium Rested Exp PotionMedium Rested Exp Potion (6)
Weight : 1

Small Rested Exp PotionSmall Rested Exp Potion (15)
Weight : 1

Large Rested Exp PotionLarge Rested Exp Potion (2)
Weight : 1

I see what your saying so I've revised the idea a little and this is what I think would be a great solution.

There will be x5 types of rested potions, which will be level based requirements.

So the first potion will be a lvl 50-59 requirement which will give you 100% rested up until lvl 59. Not sure if you can stop it working for players over lvl 59... if not, you'd have to calculate that you would receive 100% rested at lvl 59 but at 60 it just isn't enough to give 100% - it may end up being close but not sure how else to get around it, obviously the higher the player level to potion level ratio is, the less the potions would have an effect on the player.

You'd then do the same for the following levels:

60-69
70-79
80-89
90-100

If you can implement a lvl requirement it would solve the issue, if not, then a little more effort would be needed to calculate the % each of the 5 potions give.

Furthermore you could then price the potions appropriately, example could be:

50-59 £2.99 for 5 potions
60-69 £3.99 for 5 potions
70-79 £4.99 for 5 potions
80-89 £5.99 for 5 potions
90-100 £6.99 for 5 potions

The total price comes to around £50... You could also then do an ultimate bundle of some sort. Something like all potions required for rested up to level 100 for £40 for the keen individual. These are just pure examples, I suppose the best way to come to the conclusion how to price the pots would be deciding how much the cost of x2 XP should be to level 100... £50? £70? £100 and then work out a fair price for each pot group.

I think it's a great way for the server to make some real donations and get support while helping other players reach end game content and start the gear/upgrade grind but enjoying end game pvp at the same time.

personally think rested is fine, finding it difficult to outlvl my rested at lvl 85+ with 10% a hunt always sem to log back on after work with almost full rested

That's cool. I guess it just wouldn't cost you anything haha. If your really casual then you won't really need it. However some people aren't as fortunate or don't have the same patience to let there rested build up. I don't see any negatives with the idea, if there even are any... I'm sure there will be capped players who dislike it just because they like to be a higher level, when in reality it's about a gear grind at cap now anyway.

The main goal out of this is to progress people to level 100 in a way that suits the server by making it money and the player by increasing levelling speed. More players need to reach level 100 for the game to progress further, that's just a fact.

Personally I think because it's spending money the pot's should increase on top of your rested experience, like in one of my examples in the first post. So if you have 100% rested effectively you have x2 of the server rates, you buy and use a potion and it doubles to x4... the game takes a fair amount of time to level even with this increase. I really don't see the harm in this idea. Only good things can come of it. That's just my opinion though... I know various people who share it as well.

After any game that's been out a certain time, something of this nature is implemented to advance new players and the game itself.

Basically a botters paradise... I don't like the idea

I was offline for 23 hours at level 58 and got over 50% rested (which feels plenty) back in the days I'd have got about 10% for the same time so it's already rediculously easy for newer players.

Even at level 100 I get 20 odd % a day which is a crazy amount when you think about how slow exp is in the 90s

Perhaps just upping free rested at the start to 60? Would be the next step?

Botters are always going to bot, they get caught, they get banned... rested or XP pots have nothing to do with that.

Rested up until 60 isn't going to do much. You can't play end game until the 90+'s and that's if you have gear.

This is just slowing the games progress. People need to cap to increase end game user PvP and population so eventually there can be a level increase. Anyone who comes to play this game with that casual mind set won't get close to end game for a year... then needs to get decent gear. Say the cap gets increased and they haven't even reached 100 yet... Forever grinding for nothing.

Why wouldn't you want the server to actually make decent money without breaking the game?

On another note the whole rested system rewards players for not actually playing, you're rewarded for being offline, not a great system when you really think about it.

To be totally honest its not an idea i would have liked from the start of the server.

However given its current state i think its a fantastic idea. Most ppl lvling now are on there 2nd/3rd characters id gladly pay to get more rested as it stands i burn my rested and i log off lol. If this was in game id be online more and progressing to lvl 100 faster.

Suppose it also helps ppl who sturggle with work commitments etc to get to the upper lvls.

I do however think it would be best with adding faster xp. So if you have rested you get 4* xp if you have burned your rested you get 2*.xp.

Honestly this idea makes me wet most likely as im lvling an alt but so are many others. Cant really see any downsides.

Also just as an add on. A MIr server i played had a cash shop with xp items in it the way they did it wasnt in total xp gained. it was in time... So you could buy double xp for 48 hours - 7days etc with different prices then once ir expired that was it done. Wasnt for a fixed amount of %. This also rewarded ppl for being online and again not just logging off till rested was recharged and gaining 4* xp which is what i would predict to happen if it was done that way.
