Who actually does want this change? It would be interesting to know.

Judging from the other thread, there were more than 10 people against and 2 people for.

I will be interested in testing it but if it makes it to live despite nobody wanting it just because time was invested in it, that'd be a real damn shame.

I'm for the change, from what isylver says they will be able to alter stats per class with ease, should make for a nice balanced Dsoma.

Better than the 1 year+ myth of archers, and the 1-2years myth of axe,

It will be interesting to see what feedback will be required to get things changed, and how said change will affect other classes, it's not like extra points can be awarded or removed to and from one class and not others (I'm sure they have thought this bit through though) but won't altering limits just being everyone in toward the same point? if this 'imbalance' is believed then should the limits not be reworked before it is introduced? If it is all relative would it need to be compared to the current average stats of each capped class

So hard to offer a constructive opinion without seeing it in action. It's all going to come down to the testing.

Will our characters be copied over to the staging server?

Yep

It's also worthwhile noting that my figures were incorrect as you wouldn't be able to get zero int (starting stats etc).

But you will obviously need int so you can wear mage armours/diab etc.

I'm happy enought for this change however feel 743 stats is to low

Trying to work out a spear build and struggling to have enough int/wis, don't mind sacrificing my con but being realistic I can't give up much more than 40 con and that only gives me 66 wis 56 int, don't min the int but would have liked more wis

When we try test the new change, isit possible to test the str/con Int/wis change first. See how much effect that has.. then the point system please.
Also maybe make it so anyone who wants to test the server can make a new char. @ level 100- be good to see a group of humans or extra people on dsoma to test instead of bias few who have made their mind up already!

I agree with this.

I also think the public staging server should have access to free respecs. Whereas this should be hard to get on the live server.

Agreed, how hard is the question tho, as if I ruined a char id probly just quit it if it's as hard as it is getting bravery rings

Maybe if it's a solo quest not reliant on boss mobs and other players

I'd say once for a mediocre difficulty high lvl quest which anyone can do. After that it's either farmable or from a repeatable quest. The second time should be hard though.

No one with any common sense will put any points in INT btw. If they do they're completely clueless and just wasting stat points.

INT: For proc items and to be able to equip MD gear you'll have some glass cannons against mages if not (making RVR impossible).

Also we based the guides on current characters at level 100 (with a bit of tweaking/ excluding punch chars).

I think the issue here is if you're putting points into INT to wear magic robes ( for MD), instead you could just put them into WIS. It'd be more valuable for to put points in WIS if you only want MD.

Agree with INT for proc, tho.

EDIT: thought I'd also mention that I'm for this change.

If against humans with decent int or even bosses, being able to wear robes makes no difference, you're still going to get wrecked anyway. People will put left over points in wis for the base MD and wear their normal gear.
