Lets Rename that game To Myth of Nerfs then.
Dsoma Archers already got a huge nerf with the reduce of bow Range cause of hsoma lameness.
The reduce range on bow did made us loose the advantage we had at pvp againist strong classes.


90% of hsoma are int based chars why a Dsoma must suffer cause humans wants everything in a plate?
lets see what options you have since this Server has been released

Flesh guardians/wind bands
Ring of Warrior/Ring of fighter
Soul bosses Rings

We had the removal of Devil friends and instead we had these Soul bosses Rings which are not easy to get.
Our "huge" dex covers up for the loss of devil friends.

Most dsoma players tht can Raid successfuly Human Conti at 40% are 80+ and couple at 90s why should they get punishment cause you guys took int path for your internal PVP?

It is not silly pessimistic attitude, its completely true , Dsoma is Dead user wise for the last few weeks.

It is a problem , its just been avoided players get bored of being ignored and posts deleted.

Devils have had unfortunate luck with the gvw's being messed up, of course people understand its not that it was intended ect , but that on top of the wotw which is just so lame makes people think, well why bother.

especially when they come to the forums frustrated , and just get told to go away or the problem is just brushed aside, it is insulting and just further increases the players frustration at being treated like such.

Not surprising they then think twice about logging in.

If we cant communicate these things without being mocked and being told how we are just silly or this and that,
why have the forum.

You often stand by the term "Dont bite the hand that feeds you"
Well heres one i think goes well with that " Treat people how you want to be treated"

I mean this post with no sarcasm or anything other than what it is , i hope the issues can be resolved and we can keep it improving, this is Soma's last and best chance i dont think any of us want it to decline or have bad intentions towards to it...In fact the reason people get so worked up about it is exactly the opposite in that they want it to succeed.

dex of devils should be lowered imo, the problem is the % decrease only affects F10 stats and not F9 stats.

I been attacked quite a few times by devil archers while hunting in conti... and i just run away until they get bored because there is no point trying to attack back, every single cast is interrupted so its completely pointless to even bother fight back.

If devil dex was affected by the % in conti then i would be able to actually get a cast off now and again...

So i would fight back which i'm sure would make things a lot more fun for both myself and the devil char, you can't honestly enjoying running after someone tryin to attack them but failing and giving up.

If your dex was fixed then conti would be much more fun for everyone.

Any devils disagree with this?

Might be hard to believe but not every single devil is an archer, so I don't see why every other class should suffer because of the crazy amounts of dex archers have.

Although I might not disagree fully, I do disagree with the reasoning for it being based on archers because like I said the entire devil race is not bow.

I thought humans could use melee weapons aswell???? Those attacks dun get interrupted.

If the archers in question did more than 1 damage, then yes.

As it stands, % for wotw, ss and raiding are in need of revision.

The new % system is great and in the long run, will work out to be much better than its original form (if devils hang around the many many many weeks required), however for it to start balancing back to a war, rather than a wipe-fest where humans turning up or not decides the win (and base their argument of balance around this) then I don't see many devils hanging around for much longer.

Ghost and Finito went to the last dGVW, try to tell me that the population hasn't at the very least halved from the earlier bouts.

Wotw is ridiculous, as Dsoma's population further dies out (due to lack of things to do) it'll only get worse as it takes so many devils to take down a human (where it should be the other way around).

Droprate of items on Dsoma from bosses in particular is soul destroying... I've killed Shironim several dozen times and the rewards don't outweigh the cost of killing. What's worse is when he drops nothing apart from 1.5k barr... Same goes for Hwan brothers, their droprate was doubled, but i've still had several kills with 600barr or absolutely nothing.

Abyss isn't here, so there's no time-sink with farming accessories (or bosses).

And speaking as a mage here, it's just beyond my understanding why both races mages don't have an endgame monster to hunt.

Our new-to-join devils are only recently receiving slight adjustments to make the earlygame more accommodating, like the change to Darian, but we still have monsters that are in the leveling path that drop things completely irrelevant for their level.

Gargoyle fighters drop demonic (39str or 42 on this server) aren't hunted until 90/100+str.
Enslaved Beasts drop spiked (33str) and can't be hunted until you're 70+str

Darian and Devil Champions defensive dex is far too high to try hunting as even an archer at 61skill wouldn't hit the damn things (Darian and Devil Champs drop 61skill weapons).

Kharil Lizards on Conti drop identical (if not, it looks like it) weapons/barr as the ones on IC. They still have 90skill weapon drops in their dropfile and the droprate of weapons in general is so low, i've done a whole level at 60+ without a single item (excluding lizard eyes and sgems).

Droprate of weapons on Altered Beasts is out of whack, swords seem to have a droprate 5x higher than any other item.

Mages are absolutely dependant on melee for getting a weapon as no magic monsters drop staves.
Melee are absolutely dependant on mages for getting dread as no melee monsters (aside RG) drop dread.

I can go further and in much more detail regarding individual monster stats, item drops, barr drops, monster spawns etc. but I can't say it would do any good.

I can't say what I have to say falls on deaf ears, i'm sure iSylver reads and takes on board a lot of comments from various people to help make the game better, but he evidently doesn't have the time.

That's very unfortunate, but the server is free to play, so nobody can/should push the guy.

However, it does mean that there'll be a lot of people discontent with the game and evidently many have chosen not to stick around as a result.

Those attacks never hit though do they lol... you know due to the massive dex devils have it's kind of hard to hit them with melee, in addition to magic.

Carnage, i don't know much about dsoma but don't even axers have like 90-100+ dex, cos thats still a hell of a lot higher than 90% of humans, plus all that +5 dex access items in dsoma too?

S0rcerer, archers definitely were doing more than 1 dmg to me but i am only 80+ str, i had slayer attacking me and i'd say it takes him around 5 normal attacks to kill me so yeh i could out pot him easily but as you know conti raiding is a team effort :P

Melee have a decent amount of dex across the board, it's just that whenever the complaints come in about humans not being able to cast the finger is usually pointed at archers who have a crazy amount of dex and the highest on the server.

I could be wrong but I don't really see many complaints towards the other melee classes because at least they're close range, second closest being range 2 spear so running and casting or feathering is an option where as against an archer it's just not happening.

Like S0rc says , I am well aware that isylver has a real life with all it's problems,
Also that it's free.

That being said I think people are far more understanding and reassured even with just
A bit more info/updates.

Here's an idea to give I hope some peace to gms and players a like.

Make another sticky with a list if what the known problems are, put them in a priority kind of order
Or use red/orange/green red , red being asap ext.

Then agree that once a week it will be updated , notify of likely slow work such as Xmas times and the rest.

Just knowing someone is listening and does keep it in mind such as consistant updates do, is often enough.

Anyway I'm sure you know what I mean.

Unfortunately getting 100+ dex is a little bit harder for us simple humans :(

So i can't hit with melee (which would do 1 dmg anyway) and i can't hit with magic, doesn't leave me many options left tbh lol, no matter how much i'd love to try and fight back :o

isn't devil dex different to human dex anyways ? maybe im mistaken, but though devil dex was less evasion and more accuracy

did have a 100+ archer on test with caped dex, but always found I was hit quite a bit

Pretty sure dex works the same for both humans and devils. Never heard of less eva more acc in all my time playing soma o.O
