The guide is awesome - thanks so much.

Once thing I'm not clear about is how to select the best mob to level at.

I've had people telling me that it's all about STR difference between you and the mob.

So like if the mob is:

>50 STR higher you get x1.7 gains.
30-50 STR higher you get x1.5 gains
10-30 STR higher you get x1.0 gains
less STR than you and its x0.7 gains.

Is that the case? Do we know it as a fact or it's just a rough rule people work to? Because I didn't really notice that myself, maybe it only applies at high levels - for example I got better gains sticking at Hoppers rather than ABs at a certain point.

Also surely it makes leveling as a lor STR/high DEX class pretty OP since you can stick on easy mobs for a long time - does DEX come into it?

Just wondering about the method for choosing new mobs, if it is >50 STR difference for best gains I should just go to the armoury and always make sure the mob has that over me - so like if EBs have 137 STR I should stay there till I have 87 before moving to KL?

"FINITO"Str:
> 50 x1.7 (x2 if the hit kills npc) stat rate for Str.
>= 30 x1.4 and x1.7
>=10 x1.2 and x1.5
>= -10 x1.0
>= -15 x0.8
>= -30 x0.5
<= -31 x0.0 (Cap)

Int:
> 30 x1.7 and x2
>= 15 x1.4 and x1.7
>= 5 x1.2 and x1.5
>= -10 x1.0
>= -20 x0.8
>= -30 x0.5
<= -31 x0.0 (Cap)

Without the rate changes it will just be (happens currently on new mobs for devil soma)
>= -30 x1.0
<= -31 x0.0 (Cap) (Cannot cap highest mobs on devil soma though)

We cannot undo what the stat rate change has done to character stats which is annoying because cannot fix level 1-100. Might have to add level restriction to new monsters because existing characters could have used them to get stats at better rate.

For DSoma the major ones are:

AB to 57str
EB to 87str
KL to 112str
WBM to 175str then wbm/hog to 195str
Hogs to 230str
Apai forever.

For int they are:

AB to 38int
EGF to 65int
Garg Shaman to 115 int
Drazil Druid to 165 int
Trolls forever

Thank you. So much. Really!

I'm a little confused with the sentence about dsoma, 30 STR and new mob thing, what does that mean? Since all the mobs you mention other than WBM are new?

Either way, I'll follow your guide and work to >50 STR mobs, thanks for clearing it up.

The only ones that are really important stat wise are WBM, if you go to KL at 95str it won't make much difference stat wise - 50 str bonus will not make/break a char on DSoma.

a lot of people have abandoned the +50 str mob hunting as they are just levelling as quick as possible as when the new update is out it makes all the effort we have put in doing punch levels and +50 str mobs pointless, Im still going to carry on as we still haven't had any sort of update on time scales as to when the new patch/ client will be coming out.

I've always seen it like this. For some people it would take a while but I estimate that if a new player would start he wouldn't be lvl 100 before the cap raise.

This however, is just guesswork.
