pleaaaase please fix dsoma mages!!

Also about me "gay-quitting" to hsoma, i didnt :p i gave that character away and it is not me, i will only play my mage whenever a new monster comes out and honestly i dont think dex is the problem i have 106 dex which isnt that bad along with 2nd aura, if we got a new mob i could cope with getting 1~ a level

Would a spell like paralyse not help ? And for gvw make the stone your stood on damage you with a high damage poison or something similar? Would stop people tanking on the stone! Or even have 3 stones like wotw

I'd say a poison that actually would do damage would be a great addition! Maybe it could reduce an enemies accuracy.

the question is why ? a mage is alrdy a powerhouse up to a certain point the problem is there were more archers then mages if you consider that even a problem tbh like i said they can 2-3 hit lvl 85-90+ with a 100% hit chance seems to me to be only fair they can be intrupted no ?

As I said a bit earlier mage as class I don't think there's anything that needs fixing other than how they have no 4th and 5th aura.

It's just tough luck that there's a lot of archers and archers counters mages but then again it's pretty much like that in any game where mages and archers are.

What class doesn't Archer counter exactly?

And to address ILOVECAWK, you say that mages are fine and that mages can 2~3 hit level 90's.

An archer almost 20 levels lower than me can almost stop all of my damage output.

Usually guild village (which you're referring to) consists of using 200*+100hp pots in about the first 5minutes and successfully landing a total of about 10 casts (without weaken mind you).

If serums on Dsoma were completely removed and archers didn't have near 100% hit rate on mages, I too, would say mages are fine - as it stands, you deal just as much damage as I deal to you, yet you can prevent my damage output and I can't prevent yours.

Do correct me wherever you think i'm wrong here:

Archers have enough dex to out-right stop any mage from ever casting.
Archers hurt mages just as much as mages hurt archers.
Weaken is removed instantaneously and can only ever be applied if it's precast (incidentally prevents the mage from following up with explosion as the 'autocast' on right-click causes you to cast weaken again anyway).

In reality, it takes up to 3 mages to kill one archer as in a 1vs1, no mage will be able to cast, let alone fire off a double-cast weaken followed with explosion 3 times.

Mr. (or Mrs) archer simply has to left click, let their dex do the trick, right click every couple dozen seconds and if the mage doesn't give up or die, they'll be out of pots in a minute or two.

I can live with the above scenario vs. melee devils, as at least I can escape the buggers (despite they too instantly serum my status effects), but an archer not only has 100% hit rate, he has longer range than I can throw my easily interrupted spells.

Oh and to top it off, if you're using an intense bow, your recoil on bow is lower than my spell-casts so I've no hope in hell of landing a cast.

Will be happy to read if you think I've made any terminological inexactitudes in my post.

[Solution] Mages are uniterruptable (hsoma and dsoma) and serums removed.

and you're the one advising ghost ? lol. So you want to become unstopable and hit the most dmg in the game. just becoz archers can shoot at you from range ? give me a break. there is no archer that can stop you from doing dmg thats 20 lvls lower then you, if so name 1, id like to see that one happen.

I spent over 200 to 400 100hp pots a gvw coz of mages hitting me for 1/3/ -1/4 of my health without weaken "mind you"

serums dont need removing and archers arnt hitting you at 100% rate quit making up shit (maybe 187 can but thats about it since hes wat 15-20 lvls above you)

so whats left oh auto attack maybe needs chaining but id gladly just hold my mouse down to stop a mage from freecasting

and yeah the plentitude of those intense bows is greatly overrated

i remember when coven just raped every1 with tag teaming gvw you monstrer and the rest precasting weaken and 2 casting ppl to death didnt hear you complain then but like i said earlier ppl have short memories

if you want to be unintruptable then base ur hit chance on dex and then you can have it

You're right there since archer does well against pretty much everything but it's simply the best tool for the job vs mages. Even as a swordsman with no range if the situation calls for it I pull out a low skill bow which I always have on me because it's best.

I don't have the crazy high dex archers have but I can stop a mage casting pretty well with a low skill bow they may get a few casts off here and there but usually it's enough to make them go away lol.

I can do 1/3 or 1/4th of your health (whenever you don't interrupt me) with an explosion without weaken when you're not wearing robes.

You can do almost as much damage to me when i'm in full melee gear with the added effect of actually stopping my damage output.

I wasn't even talking about 187 - You, Vex, Kortex even, can stop any mage of equal or higher level than you from ever touching him anyway.

I never stated that there were plenty of them, I mentioned that the recoil on intense bows only make it worse, you fail to realise that mages have the least dex of all devils. Anyone can pick up a bow and interrupt us, carnage does it - he can completely lock me out and he's a bloody swordy.

Last GVW is a more accurate representation of how it really goes - We had more mages than you had archers, and we couldn't even get casts out - let alone be a threat.

You didn't even have to attack the melee's that were hitting 187 because... they can never hit.

Fair enough, you might say "Well 187's higher level than the other guys" - before you make such a statement, do you honestly believe that ANY melee class would be able to move him from the stone even at same level?

So you're pretty fine as it is:

We hit as hard as you do (to us).
We can be interrupted (you can't).
Melee's can't hit you (they can hit us).
You have longer range than us.
You can not only stop damage output by interrupting, but you can insta-serum to remove weaken.

This certain point is when we stop gaining DEX - If we're to balance things around level 100, an archer will have about 80 dex more than me, you think that now with the delta only being about 50dex and already being unable to cast, will only get better for me?

Besides, what would be OP about being able to cast without interruption? You still kill me as fast as I kill you, it would simply be a real Glass-cannon class, rather than a "I'm gonna blow you up--- oh wait, no interrupt, interrupt, interrupt, interrupt, interrupt, out of pots bye!"

Compelling gameplay.

i was gonna go point by point but ill just say this there's more classes then mages and archers and mages do need a new mob for better stats it would fix most of these things imho
