The PVP Patch - Making Soma PVP fun and without a large development cost

Probs have some guildies hating on me for this but what about now being 2-6 range but flinch hard when hit and xbow 1-5 range but little to no flinch when hit (forces a decision between fighting melee or anti mage)

I think flitch should stay, its the best counter to when peolle run.

There is no counter to people running atm, but I know where you’re coming from, I should rephrase that to them having a small flinch lol.

One other odd part of attacking another player is that if I chase someone and click them, I often get stuck in a walking animation unless I click on an empty tile.

whilst agreeing with tweaking the pvp with the various ideas discussed above... It may just end with the usual groups of pkers going round and assassinating single players that have 0 chance of fighting back..their choices atm are immediate tp.... or go for a bit of a run around..or stand and die 2 x.. With stuns/slows etc enabled , the lone player is even more of a sitting target.. err but the tweaks mentioned sound like good fun for 1 v1 pvp or a big fight with many players
( us sad loner players ..what we gona do waaaaaaaaaa )

The PK immunity currently helps a bit, but could do with being longer than 30 mins. Maybe some ingame and donation stores could offer PK immunity potions to allow loners to lvl in peace.

If two guys of higher lvl come after a player, they really should die. But they can always warp or get PK immunity. The idea behind my changes are that you only get flinched etc if they risk letting someone get close. If they let them get close they deserve to be flinched for a moment. The feather/flash idea would help maneuver them away from danger if they use it skillfully too.

i got pkd twice .. 2 x by 2 players in an hour the other day .. realistically u could be pkd 16x in a soma day which is a bit ott if ppl wanted to be really nasty ...so maybe the 30 min immunity could be extended somwhat

Was just makin an observation as to how things are . Your average uncapped player..whether in big guild or not.. usually hunts alone
If u consider that moaning, and reply in a hostile and vulgar manner...that's your prerogative ;o

Of course but I don’t moan about being pked - it’s part of the game get with the programme - I think the game is already fair with pking

If range and more flinch is going to be added then the duration of 4th staff needs upping and the cool down reducing. Mages are pretty useless at mass pvp atm anyway, can PvP for 5 seconds every 1 minute. Any other time I can't cast due to low dex and I also take on masses of damage. So please take mages into consideration on any new features added or suggested. Alternatively remove the stop casting thing. Archers dont miss when they get hit so why do mages :p

i agree - plus i think LUPISCUS stats should be lowered for the win ;p ..... or swapped with me tanx plis no pk
