How is this possible ... ?

Author Content Date
How is this scenario possible ….?

Human Player “A” has 195 dex (made up of 150 base, 15 acc and 30 evasion)

Human Player “B” (unknown stats), wearing Titus pads and Hero top

Player B PKs A (1st time with knuckle, second time with bow) and has a seemingly 100% hit rate overcoming the 195 (dex and evasion).

Furthermore, Player B does massive damage. So much so that it is not possible to pot fast enough (+100HP) resulting in death / resurrection.

Furthermore, Player A defends and fires arrows back – they all seemingly miss.

This scenario has occurred with two different attackers (same outcome both times).

How has player B done it?

Fanks.

assuming player A has approx 145 str .... and player B has 200 + some acc gear..... that difference is huge.. and his hits will hurt player A .... a lot

Yes, I understand the strength ratios and the damage that could be done .... If Player B does have that amount of strength (and probably does), he must have sacrificed dexterity to level on strength.

How did he have enough dexterity to land the hits and avoid being hit?

Player A has attack dex of 165 and cannot (seemingly) hit Player B. The defence dex of Player B must be around 215 of which 20% must be evasion.

Player A has defence dex of 195 and is being hit (seemingly) continuously by Player B. The attack dex (dex and accurancy) of Player B must be 195 to achieve a 50% hit rate and 245 to achieve a 99% hit rate.

How is it possible for Player B to have gained the necessary stats (levelling) and sport the required accessories to achieve this? (and do so much damage you cannot pot fast enough).

Trying to be serious here bud ....

I am wondering if the formula Finito/Qiang published is applicable only to mobs?

Or if there are other factors to take account of ....

if they have 3x 7% acc parts and a fast enough weapon it will look like every attack hits when in reality 1/2 /1/3 miss

no matter the dex diffirence you can only get upto 80% eva/acc without any eva/acc pieces then upto a maximum of 99% whether the other person is using dex access we dont know. but assume not. this would bring it back down to 78% eva on the other person whether they have -30 or - 200 dex from urself.

and then u have good ole RNG.

At 152dex and full 7% accu set I wouldn’t miss all that much either and my 200 str would make you pot constantly too.

Its a basic principle of your gear isn’t as good as his gear.

Well, the variables that have been mentioned are:

Unkown Attacker dex - Probably higher than yours
Unkown Attacker STR - Probably capped
Unkown Attacker Arm & Access - Probably significantly better than yours
Unkown Attacker Weapon - 500 recoil knuckle hits 2* per second so even 50% hit rate will tag you 1/s on avg
Small Sample Size - RNG
And Probably most importantly, very subjective measurement - doesnt feel good to be wrecked so it'll always appear worse in your eyes if it doesnt come out in your favour.

Thanks for the replies.

If the attackers had 152 dex + 4 x 7% accuracy pieces that would give 190 dex. This is still only a maximum hit rate of 50%. There is no question that both persons had a (near) 100% hit rate.

It also doesn’t account for how I cannot hit them (they cannot have evasion equipped if accuracy is equipped).

Additionally, the last person was wearing a hero top and titus pads. It seems unlikely that these were +7 accuracy (and the players would also need to be capped STR with 150+ dex making it even less likely).

I know that you must have 20% evasion parts equipped to go over the 80% de Minimis. It was well over (30%).

I understand that I might not see a “miss” and that they may be missing sometimes. When you take a good smack, your life drops like crazy – it is very easy to see that dropping each time you hear the “smack”.

I also understand that a fast knuckle recoil will drop life fast – yes it does. Two of the attacks were with a bow (upped no doubt). In all cases I could not pot fast enough.

I also understand that a capped 200 STR player would do shit loads of damage (if he could hit). I can’t see how a person can have STR accessories and DEX accessories though (a combination would lessen either effect).

There is no doubt the attackers have better stats and better equipment.

RNG is obviously also a factor. It is exceedingly unlikely that it would work in an extreme for the attackers (total 5 attacks, two people) and the opposite extreme for the defender on each of the same occasions.

The question remains though; How can they hit (seemingly) 99% of the time AND (seemingly) not get hit at all (STR aside)?

(Still wondering if the “rules” for PvP are different than that for mobs)

The 80/20 rules were brought in specifically for PvP iirc.

Professional[Epic] Professional+5
Weight : 3
Durability : 1027

DEX + 7
this will take another 3 DTs if i dared.

If you wore x2 +8 thats an extr 20 dex. That is not including other dex accessories.. The new Dex necklace at +8 would be 10-12 dex

Could potentally have an extra 32 dex in 3 accessories

Also, take into account upgraded titus helm

Titus Scale Helm[Rare] Titus Scale Helm (F)+2
Defense : 9~18
Weight : 21
Durability : 726

Req. Str : 125

Modified accuracy + 8%
Mines only +2... but at +5 its 11% acc

you cant count accuracy and evasion as *dex* they are seperated from dex

only 30 +- dex from the opposing player actually counts. then it goes into accuracy / evasion territory.

having 10 dex against someone with 200

the 10 dex character would have 20% accuracy/hit rate

with 4x 7% acc parts it would still = 48% hit rate assuming the other player didnt wear any evasion.
