Back again in this months update in windows 10 1809 64-bit.
GDI32.dll - 10.0.17763.592 GDI32full.dll - 10.0.17763.615 Fin - is there anyway of wildcarding the workaround in the code to target the high level OS version e.g 10.0.* instead of 10.0.17763.615, may stop having to do this so often? If adding the workaround causes issues with a version of the DLL where the issue is not present perhaps have a setting in the ini file we can turn on and off (or entering the dll versions) so if we get the issue we can work around it ourselves without having to bother you to fix?

I don't have the above build of those files I am still on build 10.0.17134.829.
Have to do a patch for each build of gdi32 or gdi32full when offets change. No known way around it yet. I could try to search through gdi32 or gdi32full for the code that needs patching and have it apply if it finds something (can look for a import or export that is close to where the patch needs to go then find the call to the function that needs patching then attempt to find the code). It wouldn't work all the time but using past patches and what the code might look like it should be able to apply a patch sometimes without needing explicit patch made for that build.

Edit: The client patch has been released. Please let me know the outcome.
Will release a client patch soon that will search for where to apply the patch and apply it if it can find when it fails to apply an existing patch. So hopefully with this it should mean that patches mostly get applied automatically without me needing to create a patch for the build. It should also work for Windows 7 and maybe XP.

"FINITO"There is no permanent fix and there is no other workaround I know of other than only playing with a single monitor or running Soma within a VM.

Currently only do patches for Windows 10 and only the version I have at the time but right now there is currently no patch and fix because they changed the code a lot so need to figure out a new patch.[/quote]

Just upgraded to windows 11 and had this happen to me, i didn't know this was a thing -.-
10.0.22621.608 probably be pointless patching, most likely change a lot on 11. |
