For Windows 10 need the version info from gdi32full.dll (previous windows versions it is gdi32.dll though early versions of Windows 10 is still gdi32.dll) within "C:\Windows\SysWOW64" folder if have 64bit version of windows or "C:\Windows\System32" if have 32bit version of windows.

Right click the file then select properties and go to the Details tab.

I also need the gdi32full.dll or gdi32.dll file as well so I can look at it and sort out a patch for it to add to client.

Anyway there is too many different versions that keep being released for the above files to keep up with it and I have still not had any success finding a general fix or a way to automate the patching.

I appreciate your assistance, And understand that microsoft causes this to be a massive pain in the arse for ya - Perhaps a sticky needs to be created to advise players on windows 10 to disable to the windows update service, but likewise if you have to reformat or "refresh" windows 10 it downloads a newer build which is the only reason i have this problem.

You could do one of two things

1) Build a VM on an earlier version of windows 10 or windows 7 and run soma off this, this is what i'm thinking of doing.

2) If yours was caused by a windows update roll back to an earlier build as per instructions here:

https://www.thewindowsclub.com/go-back-to-an-earlier-build-of-windows-10

Then make sure you disable the windows update service

Yeah that will help a bit because it reduces the amount of draw calls for text.

I've already got mine capped at 60 lol :p - Its not too bad if you use one instance of soma its mainly when opening up another client and then it will lag the rest of the time until soma is closed and re-opened with just 1 instance.
