Request for double rates/double drops

5k mags if u got the time... done it 5x.. even got 1 x wep to +2 !! then gave up

I love this game but have fallen out of love with it. There are just too many problems with the game at the moment that are simply not being addressed.

Once you are capped the only way to compete further is to spend all your life farming to make better gear. Now I have no problem farming but the amount of time you need to spend to get anywhere is insane and to be honest we are only on this earth for so much time. It is not healthy at all. The balance needs changing so it is more casual.

imho , i reckon there's more buying and selling going on here than just the usual suspects.. i have suspicions about a few... but proving it..can't do ofc.
i think the gm is seeing a fair few very nice weps around, and is assuming the drops and anvil is fine.
I've moaned a few times in pm about the anvil, and it doesn't go down very well at all... so bad in fact, that im half expecting a ban for mentioning it.
Well, after the hours invested crafting, and time played, i think im entitled to a moan and certainly to ask the question.
However, there comes a time when asking and moaning and no action taken means it's pointless.
That time is here for me. tc

I’m sure loads of players would return if Soma was more casual player friendly, currently though it’s either make Soma your entire life or spend years playing catch up - I like many others will pass on that and go play games that are actually fun the majority of the time spent playing, which Soma in its current state is most definitely not.

I've had my fair share of good and bad luck at anvil in last week, broke plenty of stingers, psycho x bows, Titus armour, soma has always been about time invested. The more you can invest in this game the better off you can be, but sadly lots of players have real life too, jobs, family etc and I think for soma to keep going after all these years shows how fond most of us are about this great game, and it is a great game that has huge potential. It has to adapt and evolve to keep going and bring new and old players here.

Games are meant to be fun, enjoyment, something to pass away your free time and relax, they need to cater for all types of players, from your hardcore to casual.

From recent posts and from the past a lot is said about to many obstacles in a players path to progress, which is true, from farming your armour, weapons, accessories, to then have to farm for upgrades or items to make upgrades, to then have to take a final test at the anvil that can make your day or blow it to bits in seconds.

Do you make it too easy to then have players become bored or what, it's an hard decision for the gm's to find a good balance for all players.

i think the +1 no break for fails idea is the best idea I've read about on soma for along time and it needs implementing this is already on mir3 where u get a fail u still keep the weapon but gain a +1 on it

Agreed. You’ll still get the hardcores going for the true +5/+8 etc but it will bridge the gap somewhat to the casuals.

Recently over 3 days on a top mob not nega played many hours without even 1 tab dropping so some days i cba to log on, so drop rates of farming even drives people away

Instead of kill negamare make a quest to do a certain amount of damage to it to get hard tags only.
