Drops v anvil vote

You bring up the most important part regarding the price of items....

If the drop rates where increased the prices would tumble within a week or two frogs might then be worth no more than 30/50k apc, small diamonds a few hundred k apc, more drops would definitely have a negative effect on the prices of items...

changing the anvil or drop rates would affect the market, lol. less people fail less they need to upgrade..

the more items they get the less the will buy..?

so any change will be negative in the market lol.

I think the best option would be to increase drop rates by say like 25% and have regular double drops at least a weekend every month.

I think it would be good if there was a community vote every month on which weekend it should be etc, as rather than asking the community when they'd like double drops/rates its done sporadically.

For those players who have grafted their ass off in regards to 200skill should be given a 5-7% increase success rate imo.

Awhile back the GM's increased some items to drop more than one at a time like metal, leather, sbg's, amber etc from mobs and now can drop between 1 and 3 at a time, I bring this up just as a suggestion for things like herbs, large livers, frogs, egg and eggpile etc would increasing items like these to drop between 1 and 3 at a time help to improve players gaming time more?

Increasing drop rates wouldn’t have a negative effect on said items, it would if the user count stayed as it is, but the thinking behind increased drops is to have a busier server. More drops more people better trading all round.

"KAIDO"
"FLICKTHEBEAN"Double drops isn't enough, time investment for drops to all turn into nothing needs a more than a 2 second query to x2 all columns.

I agree, double drops is not the way to go. The anvil needs changing in the way it works or a change in the upgrading system.

I also 100% agree, the most important thing people don't understand is that most people nowadays have full-time jobs, working 40+ hours a week and on top of that you have to take into account that people also have wives / husbands / boyfriend / girlfriends / kids etc etc.

So lets be honest for a minute, most of the players who do have nice things actually have nearly no commitments and can sink hours upon hours into the game to get all the required material to make the upgrades (even then it can fail through pot and cook)
or
Join warehouses with their best friends and help each-other make gear which allows them to get ahead of everybody by working together.

Now in reality not everyone can do this and have a friend to help / get help from. So what happens is that the gap between casual, full time workers with families and commitments increases because the multis and no lifers (trying not to offend anyone that plays games full time) can grind grind grind and get ahead or have multiple people grinding helping each other in order to make sick gear.

The problem is easily overshadowed when you are working together with a friend(s) or if you are putting an insane amount of hours into the game in order to progress and make sick gear.

I highly believe that increasing the DROP RATE will benefit ONLY those who NO LIFE and have MULTIS instead of those SOLO players with full-time jobs and no help from no one.

Which means the underlying problem is really the anvil, Increasing the Anvil success rate to an appropriate success rate per skill gap will help both sort of players.

Those are my 2cents.

This is far from a moan, this is more a cry for help. We all ask for changes updates not for our selfs but for everyone who’s left because of no changes. We all want the server to last for years...
