Just get rid of +50 and make some sort of quest or something to get 100 int i’d say.
Any game mechanic that encourages having to level two characters and duel screen/afk for a month healing is so patently absurd and shit for a game that you’d have to have had a frontal lobe lobotomy to design it that way if you were making a new game from scratch now.

"SAL3M"Just get rid of +50 and make some sort of quest or something to get 100 int i’d say. What about the people who have already had the +50 rates, if it was removed then it would become impossible to have the same stats. Oh and its like 12 months of healing for 100 int.

"LORD_GRIM""SAL3M"Just get rid of +50 and make some sort of quest or something to get 100 int i’d say. Nothing is impossible, GM'S calculate by looking at the database the stats of a +50 char and give people the same amount of points for them stats. This way nobody is losing stats compared to dsoma.

"DR_EVILThirdly this is how Soma is, the people who left Dsoma and came to Hsoma did it because they wanted to actually level properly and build their character as they go, not smash % out as fast as possible, nerf stats most of the way, be totally bored and eventually be a carbon copy of everyone else. Absolutley not. Part of this games charm in that you can slowly mould your character over time into whatever you want; having no stat differences between characters would be massive step in the opposite direction and one i'd grossly oppose. If peoples problem is that someone healed to 100 int, power to them, I know i certainly couldnt be arsed with that. If the end result of that endevour is that i ultimatley end up with a few points less str/dex/int in the end game than someone who wasted 100's of hours healing.. crack on, i couldnt care less. Part of what keeps this game going is the playerbase making newer 'better' characters. If everyone is the same, theres no rebirth, no reinvention. If new players cant handle the fact that someone might be slightly better than them, they aint going to last. The game has never been easier: leveling is very fast; its easy to obtain reasonable gear; srs are pretty much free.

I would agree that the new world of characters is ridiculous regarding the fact that dsoma was changed because of whatever official reason but the gist was that it was broken by uber stats gained by punching (many hours invested for extra gain but actually hard work)
Whereas hsoma got the free afk healing to 100 int at 0 effort but having the same effect However, the stat allocation 100% killed off dsoma, you only need to log in and see how dead it is, the majority have gone to hsoma as musa has said because they enjoy the game as it was intended and dsoma doesnt give that option any more

Just put all stats to +50; time invested means nothing if it is for the good of the game.
GMs were happy to remove hundreds of hours of effort invested in +50 AND punching for int in d soma. |

It was totally broken. The result was what, 70-80 stat points different at cap? Big difference between both situations.

Healing to 100 int is 90 stats bonus at cap as well plus much easier than punching every level for 100 levels esp as it is done afk.

Well it is and it isn’t, because in reality you only gain probs 2/3 dex at cap more than you would it you used % to level int to 100.

Potentially it could be, but realistically people will fill that gap by doing some int at some point, in which case its like what, half a levels worth of melee stats at the the very most at the end of the day? Anyways, its a bit of a digression, back onto the topic of hsoma stat allocation.
