Heal and GVW.

It's pretty dumb if one of the two sides gets someone on stone they won't drop for 50+ minutes due to heal being insanely op if you have high Int and are healing the player on stone. This needs to be addressed imo so there are more stone switches, instead of one or two (even zero). Thus making it a more enjoyable GVW where even the lower level Guilds have a chance of winning by stepping on in the last minute.

Solution - Heal shouldn't be affected by MA.(It never was on Esoma or any other Pserver)

If someone could test how much you heal for with lvl 4 heal with 130+ int with what Ma gear you have on that would be great to see the numbers.+ How many heals you can cast in say 15 seconds.

The only worry with this is that the last time they tried to change heal, it became super weak and caused problems with PvE (at least from what I heard).

Ideally you want a situation where heal is still effectual for PvE purposes, but doesn't scale up with MA so much that it makes GVW less fun. Perhaps a change that only operates inside the GVW zone? Or some middle ground like a heal cap?

Instead of nerfing healing, since weaken halves heal now. i dont think heal is the problem i think....

Maybe make cure poison do what its meant to and only cure poison, then maybe more black mages can blind healers making it harder for healers to heal people on stone...

Please all the white mages feel free to rage at me

Poison now disables any healing.

I do think cure could do with a double cast as well as a dsoma version though. :P

Or how about the cure poison by level system people have suggested previously? Though like you say, maybe the issue is that we're trying to deal with the wrong problem.

I agree nerf in cure poison is ideal

Maybe rather than just stopping it cure altogether it could have like a 10 second cool down? Just a thought though :)

The way damage on this server is going (in comparison to heal) it's going to be harder and harder to move people every week eventually there's going to be no stone changes at all

PD is so OP without it stone change would happen regardless of heal, so then you could argue heal isn't OP.

With no heal in hut stone changes would happen constantly and would be more about timing and teamwork.

If you removed cure or put a cool down on it people would last Alot less

In general there are many things that would benefit gvw but as it stands whichever side be it no_mercy/arcanix/firetrap or EQ on stone the other side is going to heal, it's currently the best way to win and until it's changed I've got no complaints about it being that way, it's the best strategy to win so you'd be stupid not to do it, regardless of how boring it is

You could compare it to football I'd rather my team played shit and won than played amazing and lost, winnings winning that's what people care about.

It's funny that after 20+ weeks of pretty much dominating GVW, now another side uses the heal tactics you are all in favor of change!

Anyway,

5 things that could be looked at to make GVW much better, more changes and more fun.

Heal.
Cure.
PD.
Party range for spells.
Slow/Blind spamming.

I actually think if you looked at PD, Cure Party Range and Slow/blind spamming you wouldn't even need to touch heal.

The bug that causes loss of animation on healing and cures as well is annoying and contributes a lot as well.

FYI

This isn't a post on behalf of Eq Kris bro, many of them are most probably opposed to a heal change actually.

It's to improve GVW as a whole

I personally like the gvws where stone changes every few mins, find it alot more exciting, gives smaller guilds a good chance to win also

If you go and read the old thread in the suggestion idea it's like the third post by Takeshi suggesting it should be harder for stone holder, more changes to keep stone swapping so it's not a "just now" high it's just been brought to light again

Don't see what the problem with a discussion on it is
