"GREATERIX""GHOSTLORD"I saw an army of people in banded with a few sticking out in better armor. On top of that the devils outnumbered the humans which clearly doesn't reflect the ratio of devils to humans. I can't see the usercount ingame. I can however see most part of the safe zone and I was at the throne room for the better part of the last 10 minutes. I'm not impressed with 2 people who have 1-3 hero pieces and 10-15 people who have banded. Last GVW there was a massive army, at WoW there was a flock of humans squirreling around hoping to snatch a kill with int.

If I took all the people who went to wow (of both races) and compare that number to the people at HSoma GVW the GVW number would be higher. Untill I've seen HSoma trying for throne room (more than the 5 people that tried today) we can start talking about balance. Untill then it's just guessing work since numbers matter.
How are you basing your figures?
Is it just from what you see on the screen or actual characters loaded in map - as I guess you're probably missing many humans laying dead on the floor if it's just "what you saw". . . .
"GHOSTLORD" Last GVW there was a massive army, at WoW there was a flock of humans squirreling around hoping to snatch a kill with int. tbh you cannot compare WoW with a GVW - at all. There's alot more people on each side which are around the same levels, which offers an involving fight where not many people are able to kill each other in under 5 hits. As soon as you bring in such a power advantage that devils have at the moment people will turn up for one, spend 6-figures on pots once, only to be killed in a matter of seconds repeatedly and decide it's not worth it, and join a guild for GVW where the field is more level. until the fields become closer to level, I doubt anything will change as many people base their attendance on pure perception - if it's known that devils grossly overpower humans people will much rather level than spend time laying down. And just throwing a little curve-ball - I've had 90 hours on my char since launch, playing every evening and I am stil .5 away from scaled, so whilst human population is high maybe there just aren't the numbers of people that feel comfortable enough in their strength to turn up yet are fine to give GVW a shot as there are loads of people still in studded/scaled floating around the levelling areas - and people with a full time job + family cannot be playing as much as I am, that's a fact.

Oh I wish people would stop moaning.
Once hsoma get db and frost wind (which they won't get unless there's a larger turnout) the war will inevitably more one sided. It's a vicious circle. Every week a race loses they lose 10% meaning next week devils will be on 70%.

Fine with me if people choose to just not show up, I'll continue to enjoy my leveling time each week at conti altered beasts ^^

"KOVARAS"just what aloud rubbish lol, there's no defending the wotw. its unbalanced pure and simple no exaggeration at all... we had 0% chance to win, even a few of the top humans got 4th and 1 hit. just another pointless event that needs sorting out On Esoma, Hsoma came out a year before Dsoma. Dsoma being a year behind got massive damage and defence to compensate and catch up quicker. When new soma servers come out they should seriously consider improving all the Hsoma STR gear (ONLY) by 10-15% increasing damage and defence. Hero armour should be revised and have it's stats editted higher than bone armour or other armour it is hardest to get and should be best. For example if bone pads give 12-16 defence hero should give 15-21 defence. Pure and simple it is the only way it will balance out the two races because Dsoma was designed to be a year behind and less populate therefore they were over powered. Nowadays both races start at the same time causing imbalance.

Hsoma's endgame gear is more than sufficient to cope with devils 1 on 1, coupled with their sheer numbers, the only thing that would require 'tuning' would be the mid-tier.
If you start buffing Hsoma's endgame gear by flat percentages, you'll have humans stronger than devils, and outnumbering them. This is just a problem for mid leveled humans/devils.

It's a tad unfair to have to wait until endgame to consider turning up. It will take me (and many others) a very very long time to get there. Devils posting on here appear to be just accepting the fact that they will win every week until Humans have reached endgame???? How is that right?? Why can't both sides have an equal chance for the game time played? I don't understand. If we're changing rested xp for levels 1-20, maybe that should be only for Hsoma to counter this imbalance that appears to have been accepted without any remedial work suggested?? This should be highlight of the Soma week and used to be but at the moment it's taking a huge reduction in base stats just to even the field (even with more numbers). P.s. When Hsoma eventually wins (probably 50%), I can't wait to see the carnage if Humans defend once and we have reduced stats.. hahaha.

Also, I would of thought this is a far more pressing issue than the 'multi'/'easier early levels' topic as at current a human and a devil playing the same game time are not equal on the battlefield.

That's always what i thought, devs gear was superior due to it being released later then hsoma giving devils a easy catch up on humans. Devils gear should of been adjusted but as that not been the case, you just have to wait until a lot of humans are all on end tier gear which won't be anytime soon.
The whole "numbers" is complete nonsense if you ask me, we all know the situation and not bothering, maybe 2-3 months down the line when we have gear, people might go but until then no one wants to be 2 shotted by a archer or a mage. I was shocked to see devils gear stats remain the same at launched and instantly knew, they would control wotw for a very long time.

My suggestion would be to be patient and let us see how the balance is when
a) Hsoma numbers turn up b) They win and get the more powerful spells. We can't judge any balance by players running around with level 2 spirit sword. |

So many uneducated opinions flying around. Devils are not leveling much faster if at all... try use some facts. 3/1 server ratio... any devil vs 3 humans of the same play time would lose horribly.

When you consider humans with 60 str are being 1 shotted at 80% stats, 3 on 1 is not going to be an issue.

"GHOSTLORD""ILFRIT"When you consider humans with 60 str are being 1 shotted at 80% stats, 3 on 1 is not going to be an issue. It's also hyperbole. Lets exaggerate stats a little here: Level 60 devil with 250 attack (It's not this high) vs Human with 60str and 200hp (Obviously will have MUCH more than 200, but just proving a point). Devil with 250 attack vs. a NAKED human with 60str and 200hp will leave the human on 10hp in 1 hit. Now, a human with 60str will of course have more defence than 60 if we put some armour on and will also have substantially more than 200hp. Coupled with the fact that I inflated the devil's attack to 250 just to prove a point. The best a devil would do is a hit&4th which ofc a human of similar skill would have much more than 60str. This is all based on a 100% vs 100%. Ilfrit says at 80% this is happening... Of course he talks cow manure, as at 80% it would look like this (with the above figures): 250 * 0.8 = 200 200 - 60 = 140 A devil with 250attack vs a human with 60defense will deal 140 damage per hit at 80%. -- Talking nonsense doesn't further your argument, it just removes any validity you may think you bring to one.
