Hey all.

As a devil wotw has been a walkover so far. Party because very few humans turn up, partly because we are stronger (for now)

Really want to see a good turn out though, guessing the only way is to have our % hit. We'll be 90% at the next wotw, is that gonna be enough? Spoke to Ghostlord earlier hopefully there may be more of an incentive for humans to turn up (DB not enough apparently!) Would be nice to have a proper war.

Credit to the same faces who always turn up

I think it becomes boring for people such as my self that cant keep up with the top players... so you go there and sit in the safe zone as you just get smashed if you step out!

would be good if there were events based on your level... maybe 20-30, 30-40, 40-50 and such

I honestly don't think 90% will be enough. I am 2 hit by most melle devils and I have 60+ str. There are far more humans than devils, but I believe there are far more casual humans than there are casual devils. Also i think with the attack being so much higher on dsoma weaps and defense being so much higher on dsoma armors, the new drop system makes them much better for you as it works off of a %.

Hopefully Wotw will be competitive one of these times :).

As a spectator (I missed tonight's wow) I noticed the number of hsoma vs dsoma hardly reflect the server ratio (2/3 hsoma 1/3 dsoma). I'd like to see a war where all humans showed up.

It's a tricky equation to balance.

dSoma had to have higher attack/defense as hSoma was very well established - many high players.

Now everyone that's played any soma knows dSoma has that increased power advantage they all flock there for easy l33t status.

I don't envy the dev's tackling this - but I will say posts like this with humans at 60+ str telling tales of 2-hits will not inspire any lower levels to turn up.

If both worlds have enough incentive the top would be fighting in the throne room. Leaving the safe zone for the lower lvls.

even that - there's no incentive for lower levels to be spectators in the safe zone whilst they could be out levelling in order to reach that throne room where the action happens.

It should level out eventually - but will the population stick around until then? I'm not quite that optimistic but I'm hopeful. It's definitely worth a healthy discussion on possibilities in it's own right.

Maybe hindsight a few weeks delay before wars started might have encouraged heavier people grinding out to get as high as possible - tales of woe and human weakness may leave to people jumping ship onto dSoma or even jumping altogether after feeling it's pointless to even try.

perhaps earning something to assist the grind will encourage the weak to give it a shot for variety - maybe rested xp on hit or bonus xp scrolls per kill, bonus skill gain scrolls etc - that should bring people out on both sides.

As a lower level your best bet is to group up and assist with weaken/confuse/blind/slow etc then occasionally get lucky with a well timed spell. But its all about grouping up.

Id be happy to try a war at 80-85%

The balance is way off humans simply wont turn up as on 95% even im guessing semi casual dsoma players who are in dread?? 4 hit me. was taken to 10% hp by 1 sword attack and i dont really class myself as playing casual. highest str humans getting 2 hit by mid tier devils. Alarms should be going off right about now.

The way the tag's work favours devils hugely as its % based for example the 85~ skill weps on dsoma can gain 10-10 attack extra just being a [rare] tag, as for hsoma a weapon like blood bow getting a [rare] tag would get something petty like 2-2 probaly.

Not saying devs need a nerf, maybe a buff to hsoma's tags

the reasons I don't turn up is simply due to the fact devils are greatly superior to humans at this moment in time hopefully it might change as humans get stronger.

my current melee weapon is 7-11 attack where as a devils the same lvl as me is probably 40-50 minimum attack.

my int is 40 where as a melee devil the same lvl as me probably has around 40-50 or more.

so my melee will do minimum damage and I would hardly be able to cast any spells due to running clear of devils incase im 2 shoted.

so all in all id rather spend an hour lvling than trying the imposible

Yeah i suppose best way to stop devils and hardcore players advancing way too far head is to make gargoyles the strongest mobs to hunt for a few weeks slowing down the hardcore playersd and devils both together. (Only for a few weeks) and then slowly add in the stronger mobs slowly over time such as WBM and those lizard things.
