Just a note on the video, I thought dex mage was a big thing now, should cover that in a video.

I did, said there useless

Cant kill bosses, cant kill devs, low dmg as no proc or ma.

Only good vs archer in pvp or as support char. So i would never advise that unless you have already done one of the builds i recomend personally

Just speed up rates for healing int and con, make everyone's life easier.

worth noting too.... u get xtra int bonuses for doing +50 int mobs... +30 works ofc, but u get xtra bonus for +50 too. ie.. less % for .1 int

tried and tested *

too late if ur above 95 int ..doesn't matter ofc if u healed to 100

Glad you said that about dex mage, I always thought it but with the amount doing it assumed I must have been missing something

think there's all sorts of inbetween builds... all this categorising into 3 or 4 diff builds seems like nonsense to me... the different stat options, adding in different gear makes the options almost infinite.. depending on ur adversaries or your companions in battle

"AMOEBA"+50 route doesn't mean u have to bow to 151 str then all axe.. there's more than 1 way to skin a cat. Last 12 months or so.. ppl have been following this template.Ye it gives u pretty damn good dex, but there's different ways of going about things.
However, whatever you do .. the +50 route just gives u a few xtra stats till lev 100.


So if you did the 50+ route... had a tank to get that 50+ stat difference

After level 100 this becomes pretty much time wasted?

all mobs after blg/nm's don't give bonuses ..but what u do up to then, stays with you and is worth doing.
Not a massive difference, but every little helps as they say

If the tank was weakening the mob does this just waste exp or make them dex gains even faster?

weak doesnt help when using mele weps... bow/spear/sword axe.. so weak is useless apart from when using int/mag attacks.
When using int/mag attacks it doubles ur damage.. u kill 2x qwikker and makes ur int gains 2x qwikker ;)

Well i see ur dsoma player... what i say is for hsoma..maybe same for dsoma too x

Dex mage is actually very strong, but it does have some caveats that'd make me advise against it for new players:

1) Only effective with LOTS of gear. You need heavily upgraded EVA and Dex access, which is highly sought after and difficult to make. I've been casually working on my gear for a year and only about half way done. Standard archer or mage is MUCH easier to gear.
2) Needs to level perfectly (heal to 100 int and +50 etc.). Ramyrez has about 7-8 dex less than a perfect character (it was a 1st gen char I made it years ago but only capped recently). 7-8 dex is huge at those levels. It's the difference between 90% evasion rate and 99% eva (that's a relative damage reduction of 1000% btw).
3) No good for bosses. Does not do enough damage to get drops but that suits me fine since I hate bosses
4) No good for magma farming. Once again, doesn't bother me as I've done my fair share of magmas on DSoma/Jaragoondoo and sick of it.
5) Does no damage to tank builds or glass cannon mages (230 int, 200 str). However, zombie/weaken support is still useful in group PvP

It's actually fine vs DSoma. You can 1v1 archers, they still miss loads even with all that dex. DSoma str classes can't even touch you. You'll do 1 damage to mages, obviously.

With all the said, if you're looking to make a 2nd character I say go for it. They're very strong and when the next cap raise comes they'll be even stronger as they've not hit the same stat slow-downs yet.
