Mags using int from range 1 (sometimes)

Any mob that is there for farming should be accessible for everyone who is capped, or there should be an alternative with the same drop file but different mechanics.

Roch,

I agree with everything you have said.

The “Magma Beasts” were introduced when the cap was 100. They were for end game play and could only be hunted by groups of players (that was their intended design).

As the cap level was raised, mages found that they could solo them.

The STR players complained and the GMs reduced the STR stats.

Low INT melee players were never catered for. It didn’t really matter then.

Arguing that it is their fault because that was their build choice was, at that time, not an issue because the Magma’s were not so lucrative. Since then the Magmas have had their drop files increased AND now we have Elder Mags with Nega weapons too.

There are also many quests for “Titus Armour” that were done on Magmas and those quests were unavailable to melee players for the same reason. Titus is not so rare now but it was then and the GMs introduced Titus quests on other mobs to balance the problem.

There has been repeated calls from players over the last two years for Magma’s to have their drops increased and the GMs repeatedly capitulated.

If the drop files for Magmas had not been so generously imbued and if the Elder Magmas had not been introduced, the melee players with low INT would not be speaking out now.

The Magma’s are “now” an end game farming mob but they weren’t when players had committed to their builds. To marginalise players (in any game) is prejudicial to the game and the whole clientele.

The points you made, Roch, are well considered, accurate and understood.

With what these Elder Mags drop they should be harder and use more pots/time.
Post for a 6th time or more bud, just means nothing.
You want to have 8 of this top end wonderful dropper around you at all times inflicting no damage half playing as Whoosh said.

Put a bow on and work for the drop. They drop quick with melee too.
You don't need to raise skill or exp. so...

The stat above is for "Magmas" not "Elder Magmas"
