"ROCH" Yes clearly you cant get the same stats. What we are saying is that there is no adverse effect on your stats for using other weapons. If you want max str you need to axe and likewise if you want max dex you need to bow. If you want a mix of str and dex you can get that desired mix with any weapon and it will use the same amount of % e.g. after 171 Str if you use Sword to X amount of Str and Y amount of Dex and use Z amount of Exp If you then use a combination of axe and bow to X Str and Y Dex you will also use Z exp. Using axe and bow has been no benefit over using sword.

Some poor descritions in this thread seem to be eluding to you getting the same stats regardless of what weapon your using; this is obviously not true. Bow is still most efficient dex gainer, axe is still the most efficient strength gainer, sword is still crap stats, spear is less efficient then axe and knuckle less efficient then bow (as well as not allowing you to reach 'max' dex.)

sorry to bring this full circle but,
everything sapper/ramzo say makes complete sense to me and along the liones of what i had always thought for after the bonus stats etc but how does this not work based on what albion has said about actually testing on two separate chars in the exact same str range

"WAZZZZZUUUUU"sorry to bring this full circle but, Unless albion posts some evidence to support what he's saying I don't think there's any reason to believe him. 15% difference is huge, and would have a huge impact that would've been brought up earlier as people would've noticed.

***EDIT*** - Just tested two characters to 26str/21dex, one with axe / bow, one with spear / knuck and it's exactly the sme %. Matthew is correct, I must have been in different stats slowdowns when I originally calculated it.

Just a quick question
The keep dex within 30 range of str myth Is this not true upto a set value, as dex was based on str gains upto a point that finito change it ? Or was it completly changed ? |

i could be way off but i dont believe that was really a thing so much as a misconception from the bonus gains on mobs? keeping dex higher than str just means you get the stat bonus for as long as possible
