Maybe your post should focus on actual new player issues instead of crying about what's out in the big bad world
Hi I'm a 12 year old who plays fornite and I just started soma and found out I need to AFK for a week to get 32 con and then afk again for 3 months to get 100 int for max stats before i leave town at level 15 to hit mobs for hour and hours till 3 months later I am then capped and can farm for gear to try and compete Or I could just go back to fortnite and drop to any spot and have mad gear in minutes Get real Raven we ain't attracting new players we are all old esoma players here for the nostalgia and the game is getting so far from what we use to play its unrecognisable Either take it to the extreme so young kids can stop in and compete in hours or roll it back to esoma like we all loved and remember

I’m sorry you feel new players don’t try this server out, I’ve met a fair few in last few months so has other players, we’ve helped a lot of them with advice, items etc.
Wish players would stop giving out bad advice like yours about the afk con, healing for int before even venturing out of tyt. Con can be done anytime so can healing for int if you wish to do it, best advice is grab a training weapon and just level.

There is a domino effect that's happening slowly right now where pvpers from both sides are actually taking a break/retiring from soma... we focus too much on imaginary new players that we will lose the hardcore players who will spend 10hours+ farming and pvping for nostalgia and fun.
This post can easily just be about having an evolved hero quest for noobs where they can farm for few days and get a beginner hunting set that will keep them good up until blg. Not the difficulties of securing immunity pots and res scrolls which we all know its not the case.

Ive made suggestions in past regarding starter gear but nothing ever came of it, I’ve mentioned it in past as have other players that at a certain point players come to a brick wall in that to progress requires better gear. These players don’t feel the reward for there limited time is worth farming, doing quests or dailies they just want to level up to the better mobs blg onwards etc where most of the good items drop that will help them continue and grow this was the point I tried to highlight.

Raven this is a post for the new/casual players that do not bother posting and just leave/duke it out, I think the GM's hesitance to do anything was because he didn't want to upset the regulars. His next problem is then regulars using any new implemented system to their advantage, probably a headache for the both of them!
I still think a simple on/off switch with a 1 week penalty for turning it off is the best solution. This forum is not a full and fair view of what goes on in soma, so it's nice to see a post like this. You can't get far in this game without handouts, have to say both worlds (surprisingly Hsoma is the more generous) do give handouts including fast weapons and barr, etc.

Interesting maybe I could tweak a few of the quests to require less and also add TOLE to shanis too?
We have made quite a few changes to cater for onboarding and the mid tier sort of the game already. Particularly wep drops at shanis and +2 risk free upgrade. Keep the ideas coming.

Maybe a couple of quests that reward a dp or keen eye depending on your character build, this then would allow a warrior build to make 2 armour parts 3% evasion or a tank build 2 armour parts with 3% accuracy?
Edit around the level 50-60 maybe? |

could make hero 1 pads and top 5% eva.. like the boots.. the move up to shanis and blg is tough at around 85 str without some half decent eva..
tho.. could just add 2 x dp's to the above and the helm and get guaranteed 4 % eva on each piece.. tho a 5% start wud be just a lil more generous and no dps needed

Not that it isn't a great idea, I think the less dexy builds are struggling far more than the higher dex builds atm, I'm being put off by the uphill battle post blg being axe with 0 items.

I would personally say extend the non +50 route ubtil 120ish str, anyone wanting better stats has a hell of a jump from dev warrior i think straight into blg it aint possible without a tank, unless you cliff using a bow which not everyone wants[/quote]

Warmess and warban dropping tole’s Might be helpful too. These 2 mobs might also be good for future quest’s to give dp and keen eye suggestion I made?
